Orbitz wants to give you $110 for free

For the next 8 weeks, Orbitz is running a promotion where they give you some of their currency (“Orbucks”) in exchange for your holiday photos.  This promotion started on Monday, 20th July, so act quickly if you want to maximise all 8 weeks of payouts.

The T&C say open to US residents only but I only see that being an issue if you actually win the grand prize each week. Otherwise, given the volume of submissions they’re likely to receive, I don’t think they’d bother discerning who comes from where.

To take advantage of this promotion-

  1. Sign up for Orbitz Rewards using my referral link here. You get a $25 promo code to use on your first booking and I get $25 when you make your first stay
  2. Each week, take some random photo you have and submit it here. You’ll earn a variable amount of Orbucks as shown below

Schedule

Week of 7/20 – Your Best Splash!
Get $10 in Orbucks- plus win a Hawaii trip

Week of 7/27 – Cheers To Summer!
Get $5 in Orbucks- plus win a Mexico trip

Week of 8/3 – Show Us Your Best Dance Moves!
Get $20 in Orbucks- plus win a Caribbean trip

Week of 8/10 – Bring Summer To Your Workplace
Get $15 in Orbucks- plus win a Europe trip

Week of 8/17 – Beach Fun
Get $15 in Orbucks- plus win a Caribbean trip

Week of 8/24 – Lip Syncing Your Summer Song
Get $20 in Orbucks- plus win a Europe trip

Week of 8/31 – Spell Out Orbitz In Your Most Creative Way
Get $15 in Orbucks- plus win a Hawaii trip

Week of 9/7 – Impress Us With Altitude
Get $10 in Orbucks- plus win a Mexico trip

Do this over 8 weeks and you’ll have US$110 + US$25 from the sign up, so effectively US$135. Enough to spend on a free night somewhere, hopefully.

Note: this post is in no means an endorsement of the Orbitz rewards program, which like all OTA rewards program, is simply terrible. But hey, free money.

Hi. I have signed up using your referral link but I did not receive the $25 promo code. Any known issue ? Thanks.
