HSBC increases welcome offer for Visa Infinite card to 40,000 miles

HSBC increases welcome gift of air miles from 35K miles to 40K miles, making it even cheaper to buy miles through annual fees.

There is a plethora of premium tier Credit Cards available in Singapore, the HSBC Visa Infinite is one of them. Previously, the HSBC Visa Infinite awarded you with a welcome gift of 35,000 miles (in HSBC Reward Points) upon paying the $650 annual fee (or S$488 if you’re a Premier Banking customer).

As of today, the HSBC Visa Infinite would give you 40,000 Welcome Miles (given as 100,000 HSBC Rewards Points) upon payment of the annual fee. This is essentially purchasing miles at a cost of 1.625 cents per mile (or 1.22 if you’re a Premier Banking customer)

Also, some notable perks of the HSBC Visa Infinite include :

  • Unlimited Priority Pass access for both the Main Cardholder and Supplementary Card holders
  • Complimentary Travel Insurance when charging your travel fare to the card
  • Complimentary Limousine transfers and Airport Immigration Fast Track (Read : whisked away in a buggy) with a minimum spend of S$5,000
  • Visa Luxury Hotel Collection perks (although to be fair this accrue to anyone with a Visa Infinite card, even the no fee CIMB one)

Although the annual fee is still rather high, if you’re able to make full use of the Priority Pass privileges it could well be worth getting the card now for the increased welcome bonus.

Anyone know what’s the minimum income they are looking at? 120k?

YC

I also interested to know is HSBC very strict to the income requirement

Rlee

Yes

120k or maintain 30k in a fixed deposit with them.

Also, you get the first two airport limos on the house. Other than that, the earn rate, imo, is not that great.

This card is best for people who travel a lot but have to slum it in economy as the Priority Pass is the unlimited flavour. Plus supp card holders get unlimited PP too, and the supp card is free.

Any idea how long this promotion runs for?

About the income requirement I believe if you have an Uncle or mom or dad that is a HSBC Premier customer and get them to refer you and recommend you they will give you a card similar to this or better with very little question asked about income. I find HSBC very friendly towards long time clients and extremely helpful to the family members of existing client.
