SingSaver is running a May Madness promotion on Citibank credit cards from Tuesday 21 May 9 a.m. to Friday 24 May 11.59 p.m. The first 15 applicants (new-to-bank or existing) each day will get $500 cash upon approval.
From the 16th applicant onwards, new-to-bank applicants will receive $300 of Grab/Taka/NTUC vouchers upon approval, and existing applicants will receive $30 of Grab/Taka/NTUC vouchers upon approval.

In other words, new-to-bank customers are guaranteed at least $300, 50% more than the usual SingSaver offer. You’re considered new-to-bank if you don’t hold a Citi principal credit card right now or in the past 12 months.Â

How to participate
Here’s the steps to participate:
- Apply for any eligible Citibank card
- Citi Cash Back Card
- Citi PremierMiles Visa
- Citi Rewards Visa
- Citi SMRT Platinum Visa
- Citi Prestige
- Submit the rewards redemption form with a valid application reference number
- Receive approval by 24 Jun 2019 to be eligible

Do note that the promotion runs from 9 a.m to 11.59 p.m each day. The application process starts from the time the applicant clicks the “Apply Now” button on the SingSaver campaign page.
If you apply outside the 9 a.m to 11.59 p.m timing, you won’t be eligible to win the $500 cash. In other words, don’t try and jump the gun by applying at 8.50 a.m and submitting the rewards form at 9 a.m sharp- SingSaver compare the rewards forms against the application data’s timestamp from Citibank to determine eligibility.
If you’re just looking at the $300 vouchers for new-to-bank customers, however, feel free to apply any time before 11.59 p.m on 24 May.
This promotion does not overlap with the ongoing Battle of the Cards campaign. If you’ve applied through Battle of the Cards, you can’t use that card as the basis for your rewards form submission. However, if you applied for a Citi Rewards card during Battle of the Cards, there’s nothing stopping you from applying for a different Citi card during the May Madness campaign.
Conclusion
Getting $500 cash for signing up for a card is as good as it gets (and would make a hefty dent in the Citi Prestige’s $535 annual fee). Set your alarm for 9 a.m each day and fill out those forms fast!
The problem with such offers is that one doesn’t know whether one is amongst the top 15 applicants or not. I mean what if I apply for Citi prestige at 9:05am in anticipation of getting $500, how would I know whether I will get $500 or not? Any idea?
if the possibility of not getting the $500 is a dealbreaker, then don’t apply for a card that doesn’t waive the first year fee.

It’s harsh to call this a uob style promo when you take into account the fact that new to bank customers are guaranteed at least $300 vouchers… but you have every right to sit it out if you don’t like it!
