If you’re an AMEX Platinum or KrisFlyer cardholder, you’re definitely going to want to monitor the “Offers” section of your AMEX app. Here’s where AMEX posts regular deals such as bonus points/miles, or discounts in the form of statement credits. Registration is required for these offers, and keep in mind that some of them may be targeted.
Earlier this year, AMEX ran an awesome Hilton promotion where customers could get up to $200 back on every $500 spent at selected properties, up to a maximum of 3 times.
They’ve just launched a similar targeted offer, and although it’s not as generous as the previous, it’s still worth looking at for those with upcoming travel plans.
Get a S$75 credit with every S$300 spent, up to 3 times
From now till 31 January 2020, registered cardholders who spend S$300 or more at participating Hilton properties will get a S$75 statement credit, up to 3 times. This represents a 25% rebate; not as high as the previous 40%, but still pretty good.
The participating properties list is fairly extensive, with options in Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, China, New Zealand and India. Crowd favorites like the Conrad Koh Samui, Conrad Bangkok, Conrad Tokyo and Conrad Osaka all feature.
The offer details say that the S$300 can be in “one or more transactions”, which means that if you spend S$100 at Property A and S$200 at Property B, you’ll get a S$75 credit.

Based on the mechanics of the past promotion, I’m assuming that if you spend S$600 at Property A, you’ll receive 2 x S$75 credits- there’s no need to split the bill into two transactions.
The spending amount excludes gift card purchases, but includes incidental spend that is charged to the room such as spa treatments and dining. You must book your reservation through the official Hilton website or mobile app, or directly in person at the hotel. Bookings through third party OTAs will not be eligible for the rebate.
The offer is capped at the first 30,000 registered cards. If you have multiple AMEX cards, you may have been targeted on more than one, so be sure to check. The limit of three credits is applied on a per card basis, so theoretically someone with two cards could enjoy six credits.
Stack with Shopback/Rakuten to earn bonus cashback
To maximise your rebate, remember to book through a cashback site like ShopBack or Rakuten (formerly known as Ebates). These sites allow you to click through to the official Hilton website, so you’ll enjoy your AMEX rebate stacked with cashback.
As it stands, ShopBack (3%) is offering a higher rebate than Rakuten (2.5%). However, cashback rates fluctuate regularly based on sales, and I’d be keen to see what both sites offer during the upcoming 11.11 bonanza.

Conclusion
Although it’s not as big as the offer we saw in April this year, getting S$75 off a S$300 spend is still a welcome offer in my book. Be sure to open your app and see if you were targeted. If you were, remember to register before paying, and pay by 31 January 2020.

I have also spoken with the CSO. She mentioned it has to be single transaction of $300 or above to qualify for the $75. Combination of smaller transactions does not qualify for the above offers.

Ikr. But i didn’t probe further. But oh well, I’m already grateful with this offer nonetheless. It comes just in time when I need a few more nights to requalify for my Hilton status.
