Receive 250 bonus Starpoints for checking in on the SPG app

Get 250 bonus Starpoints each time you perform a Mobile Check-In for your stay at Starwood properties. Promotion ends 15 June 2018.

Starwood (or rather Starriott/Marriwood) is currently running a promotion offering 250 Starpoints when you check in for your stay using the Mobile Check-In facility on their mobile app. A stay is defined as the number of consecutive nights you spend at the same hotel regardless of check in/check out activity. This promotion runs until 15 June 2018 and there are no caps to the number of times you can earn this bonus.

As per the FAQs for this promotion, you will only be eligible to receive the 250 Starpoints when using the SPG Mobile Check-In at the following brands:

  • St. Regis
  • The Luxury Collection
  • Sheraton
  • Westin
  • Le Meridien
  • Tribute Portfolio
  • Four Points by Sheraton

You can view the full list of hotels which are participating in this offer here.

Note that SPG Mobile Check-In is a completely different concept from SPG Keylessย and if the hotel you’re staying in does not support SPG Keyless, you will still need to pop by the front desk to collect your room keys.

If you have an upcoming stay at a Starwood property which is participating in this promotion, make sure you check-in via the mobile application to earn yourself an additional 250 Starpoints which is equivalent to 750 points in the combined loyalty program come August 2018. While this is one quick way to earn yourself some extra Starpoints, just a reminder that there’s currently a Starpoints sale ongoing until 31 May 2018 and this might be the last points sale we’ll see for Starpoints prior to the merger.

Any idea if we have to be physically there in order to check in? Or can we checkin/out while still on the other side of the globe?
