American Express has launched a new AMEX Offer for KrisFlyer co-brand cardholders, which allows them to earn 3 bonus KrisFlyer miles when paying Singtel bills.
Registration is required for this offer, and is open from now till 31 May 2020 (or until 15,000 cards are registered, whichever comes first). The bonus 3 mpd is capped at S$300 of spending from 7 April to 31 August 2020.
Like all AMEX Offers, this may be targeted, so if you donโt see it in the app or online it means youโre not eligible.
What are AMEX Offers? |
AMEX Offers are opportunities to earn bonus miles or Membership Rewards points, or discounts in the form of statement credits. These are available to Platinum, True Cashback, and KrisFlyer co-brand cardholders, and can be found in the โOffersโ section of the AMEX app or web portal. Registration is required, and some offers may be targeted. These are not applicable to DBS/Citi/UOB AMEX cardholders. |
The 3 bonus KrisFlyer miles are awarded on top of the base miles earned, so youโre looking at a total of 4.1-4.3 mpd, depending on which KrisFlyer cobrand card you hold.

The bonus KrisFlyer miles should reflect in your card account within 5 business days from qualifying spend, but may take up to 90 days from the offer end date.
Sign up for Singtel Recurring Bill Payment
To enjoy this offer, you must enroll for Singtel Recurring Bill Payment. You wonโt get the bonus if you make ad-hoc payments through the Singtel app.
The enrollment can be done online. Login to your Singtel Onepass account and navigate to this link. You should see a screen like this:
Click on your account and a prompt will appear to setup auto payments. Click โadd new cardโ, and enter your AMEX KrisFlyer cobrand card details.
Youโll be prompted for an OTP. Enter it, and youโre done.
Once youโve enrolled your card, the subsequent monthโs bill will be charged to it.
Conclusion
Most banks exclude recurring telco bills from earning points, so itโs great that AMEX has a setup-and-forget arrangement with Singtel. Itโs well worth taking five minutes to register your card and set up the billing arrangement, if you happen to be eligible.
I didnโt see this offer appearing on either my AMEX Platinum Charge or AMEX Platinum Reserve, but if you see something in your app do give a shout out below.
Just checking, other than signing up for recurring payment on Singtel website, is there anything else to be done?
Like payment wise, this is not an auto-payment kind of thing right? I still have to log in to Singtel and make payment manually?
as the name suggests, it will be auto debited.
