KrisShopper launch: Get an easy 1,000 KrisFlyer miles & S$20 voucher

KrisShop has launched a loyalty programme called KrisShopper, which rewards members with enhanced earn rates, free delivery, and special promotions/privileges based on their annual spending on the platform. 

To mark the launch, the first 30,000 members to link their KrisFlyer accounts to KrisShopper will receive an easy 1,000 bonus miles, with the first 5,000 members receiving an additional S$20 KrisShop.com promo code (with no minimum spend or brand exclusions) as well. 

There’s also a status match offer for KrisFlyer Elite and PPS Club members, fast tracking them  as high as the Ambassador tier with its 4 mpd earn rate and 10% off regular-priced items. 

KrisShopper tiers & privileges

KrisShopper has four status tiers, awarded based on members’ spending on:

• KrisShop.com
• KrisShop on Kris+
• KrisShop on KrisWorld
• Inflight purchases on Singapore Airlines. 

KrisShopper Member is the entry tier, with no minimum spend required. Members will earn 2 mpd on KrisShop, a slight increase from the usual 1.5 mpd.

KrisShopper Insider is unlocked with S$5,000 qualifying spend in a 12-month period, with a boosted earn rate of 2.5 mpd.

KrisShopper Icon is unlocked with S$10,000 qualifying spend in a 12-month period, with a boosted earn rate of 3 mpd and free local shipping within Singapore. 

KrisShopper Ambassador is unlocked with S$15,000 qualifying spend in a 12-month period, with a boosted earn rate of 4 mpd, free local shipping within Singapore, 10% off regular-priced items (not stackable with the 10% discount for PPS Club) and complimentary gift wrapping services. 

Qualifying spend refers to the final amount paid in credit or debit card for purchases on KrisShop.com, KrisShop on Kris+, KrisShop on KrisWorld, and inflight purchases on Singapore Airlines, excluding:

• GST
• Duties, taxes and delivery charges
• Any purchases made prior to joining KrisShopper

From now till 30 June 2022, the first 30,000 KrisFlyer members to link their KrisFlyer account to KrisShopper and subscribe for updates will receive up to 1,000 KrisFlyer miles, split as follows:

• 500 KrisFlyer miles: Link KrisFlyer account to KrisShopper
• 500 KrisFlyer miles: Subscribe to KrisShopper news & promotions at the point of signing up for KrisShopper

The first 5,000 KrisFlyer members to complete both of the above will enjoy a further S$20 KrisShop.com promo code, valid till 31 December 2022 with no brand exclusions or minimum spend. 

For the avoidance of doubt, you will not receive the bonus 500 miles if you sign up for news and promotions after your KrisShopper registration is complete. Many of us are hardwired to uncheck these “do you want to receive spam” boxes, so make sure you don’t forget (you can always unsubscribe once the miles are in your account).

Both the bonus KrisFlyer miles and S$20 KrisShop.com promo code will be credited within 10 business days from 30 June 2022. 

How to link your KrisFlyer account to KrisShopper

To link accounts, simply sign-in to your KrisFlyer account on KrisShop.com. You’ll see the following pop-up window appear automatically. 

If you accidentally close this pop-up or don’t see it, you can also login to your KrisFlyer account on singaporeair.com, click on Miles > How to Earn, locate the KrisShop section and click on Link Account.

A confirmation email will be sent once your accounts have been linked. You can find the full T&Cs of the KrisShopper programme here. 

KrisShopper status match

From now till 30 June 2022, KrisShopper is offering a status match for KrisFlyer Elite and PPS Club members, according to the following table.

This match will be processed automatically when members link their KrisFlyer account to KrisShopper and subscribe to KrisShopper news and promotions.

All matched status is valid for a 12-month period, and subsequent retention or upgrading will be based on the regular KrisShopper spend requirement.

What card should you use for KrisShop?

KrisShop purchases with code as MCC 5309 Duty Free Stores.

Using the following cards will earn you an additional 4 mpd extra, creating the opportunity to clock up to 6-8 mpd, depending on your KrisShopper status.

If you’re shopping KrisShop on Kris+, be careful not to use the Citi Rewards Card. Citibank excludes in-app mobile wallet transactions from earning 4 mpd, so you’ll earn a puny 0.4 mpd instead. 

Conclusion

With the launch of KrisShopper, there’s an easy opportunity to pick up 1,000 KrisFlyer miles and a S$20 gift voucher for those who take 30 seconds to link their accounts. Do remember there’s a 5,000 cap on the S$20 gift voucher, and 30,000 cap on the 1,000 KrisFlyer miles, so try and get this done ASAP.
