If youโre planning to fly out of Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport from next month onwards, thereโs a major lounge shake-up you should know about.
Priority Pass has announced that all seven of its existing airline lounges will be leaving the network, effective 1 April 2025. These lounges have already been removed from the DragonPass network, and rumour has it that this is a directive from the Airports of Thailand (AOT), rather than the result of a dispute between the lounge networks and airlines themselves.
While lounge pass members can continue to visit the Coral and Miracle contract lounges, these are generally not as good as the airline lounges which are being removed, and itโs a big blow for passenger choice.
All airline lounges in Bangkok are leaving Priority Pass

From 1 April 2025, the following lounges at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport will be leaving the Priority Pass network.
Lounge | Location |
Air France-KLM Sky Lounge | Intโl Concourse F |
Bangkok Airways Boutique Lounge | Domestic Concourse A |
Blue Ribbon Club Lounge | Domestic Concourse A |
Blue Ribbon Club Lounge | Intโl Concourse D |
Oman Air First & Business Class Lounge | Intโl Concourse E |
THAI Royal Silk Lounge | Domestic Concourse A |
Turkish Airlines Lounge | Intโl Concourse D |
It was originally believed that the Turkish Airlines Lounge would survive the cull, but a notification on the Priority Pass app confirms that it too will be leaving the network on the same date.
If you believe the rumours, the departures are due to a new AOT rule stipulating that airline lounges can only receive their own passengers as guests. Why thatโs the case, Iโll leave you to decide, but whatever the reasons this is a passenger-unfriendly move. The Coral and Miracle Lounges arenโt terrible by any means, but more choice is always better than less choice.
I personally am a big fan of the Oman Air Lounge, as itโs one of the few Priority Pass lounges that serves champagne (and the foodโs not too bad either).

Another fun one to visit is the Turkish Airlines Lounge, which offers a complimentary 15-minute massage and a proper boardroom for getting work done.

It remains to be seen whether these airline lounges are even sustainable without the business from lounge pass members, and some may have to reduce their operating hours. I certainly hope this doesnโt lead to permanent closures, especially since I wouldnโt be surprised if a few months down the road we see another policy U-turn!
What lounges remain at BKK?

Priority Pass members wonโt exactly be starved for options at Bangkok, because even with the removal of the airline-operated lounges, thereโs still a Coral or Miracle lounge close by no matter where your flight is departing from.
Lounge | Location |
Coral Executive Lounge | Domestic Concourse A |
Miracle Lounge | Domestic Concourse D |
Miracle First Class Lounge | Intโl. Concourse A |
Miracle First Class Lounge | Intโl. Concourse C |
The Coral Finest Business Class Lounge | Intโl. Concourse C |
The Coral Finest Business Class Lounge | Intโl. Concourse D |
Miracle First Class Lounge | Intโl. Concourse D |
Miracle Business Class Lounge | Intโl. Concourse D |
Miracle Business Class Lounge | Intโl. Concourse F |
Miracle Business Class Lounge | Intโl. Concourse G |
Miracle First Class Lounge | Intโl. Concourse G |
Miracle First Class Lounge | Satellite 1 |
Miracle Business Class Lounge | Satellite 1 |
As I said earlier, these lounges are perfectly decent, and I can think of much worse places to wait for a flight. All the same, I do wish that Priority Pass and DragonPass would look at adding some restaurants or non-lounge experiences to their repertoire in Bangkok, just to keep things interesting.
Conclusion
Priority Pass members have long been spoiled for choice when it comes to lounges at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, with more than two dozen options to choose from including numerous airline lounges.
Unfortunately, that will change from 1 April 2025 as seven airline lounges leave the network, leaving the Coral and Miracle lounges as the only remaining options.
Which airline lounge at Bangkok will you miss the most?
Maybe Coral and Miracle lounges no business. So they forced hand
What is the best coral / Miracle lounge for international morning flights on the above list in your opinion ?
I used to love the Turkish lounge as it was literally empty in the morning.
Bummer. I will miss the Oman & Turkish lounges in future.
This is terrible news. I really enjoyed the Oman and Turkish lounges.
Letโs hope for a quick U-turn of this policy.
[โฆ] Currently, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is one of the best in the world when it comes to Priority Pass lounges. The airport has one of the largest selections of Priority Pass lounges youโll find at any airport, and theyโre all relatively high quality. Well, unfortunately this will be changing shortly, for a pretty questionable reason, as flagged by Mainly Miles. [โฆ]
Would AOTโs new rules affect reciprocal lounge privileges for business class passengers travelling on Star Alliance and Oneworld carriers?
this is an interesting question. I suppose it could be read that way, but I would be shocked if they actually did it, as it seems theyโre going after the lounge pass memberships
what is the difference between the coral first class and biz class lounge?
Nothing muchโฆ both sux lol
My guess is that someone at Priority Pass forgot to pay the required bung to AoT executives.
Terrible news and pityโฆ i alwasy go to Turkish and Omanโฆ Miracle is a bit shitty actuallyโฆ.
Loyalty Lobby wrote about this a while back IIRC and it seems that non-Thai companies are the ones getting the boot. Coincidence?
