Back in August, Kris+ launched a mega earning promo offering up to 9 mpd at selected dining and retail merchants across its platform. Stack this with the usual 4 mpd from credit cards (+1% cashback with Amaze), and you’d be looking at 13 mpd in total– very tasty indeed.

That’s based on the value you’d receive if you took whatever miles you earned during this promotion and spent them through Kris+ (1 mile= 0.67 cents, so 9 mpd is a 6% rebate). That’s an awful idea, and you’ll definitely want to transfer these miles into your KrisFlyer account as soon as they’re earned (and no later than seven days, after which they’re stuck in Kris+ forever). |
Kris+ has now extended this promotion till 31 March 2022, giving you even more time to rack up the miles. It’s also expanded the number of participating merchants to 285.

What’s so incredible about this promotion not just the sheer number of participating outlets (285), but the distribution: 43% are offering the highest earn rate of 9 mpd, while 55% are offering 6 mpd.
Even though heavyweights like Challenge and Harvey Norman are offering “only” 3 mpd, it’s still a big upsize from their usual rates of 0.5 mpd and 0.33 mpd respectively.

You must use in-app payments
In-app payments are the only way to earn Kris+ miles, effective 1 September 2021. Simply scan the merchant’s QR code and pay with your Apple or Google Pay account- miles will be credited automatically.

What card should you use for Kris+?
Kris+ in-app payments code according to the underlying merchant’s regular MCC. In other words, simply use whatever credit card you’d normally use at that particular merchant.
Don’t forget to stack the below cards with the Amaze to earn an extra 1% cashback; you’ll still earn the regular miles rates as shown below.

While you’d normally use the UOB Preferred Platinum Visa or UOB Visa Signature with Apple/Google Pay to earn 4 mpd, this does not apply to in-app payments. The T&Cs state very clearly you need to tap the mobile device against the contactless reader to qualify, which doesn’t happen with in-app payments.
Earn Elite miles or PPS Value
Singapore Airlines is currently running a campaign that allows KrisFlyer and PPS Club members to earn Elite miles or PPS Value without flying.
Spending on Kris+ is one such avenue, and members will earn status credits as follows:

Kris+ has extended its extremely generous earning promo to 31 March 2022, which is a great opportunity to rake in the miles when dining and shopping at your favourite merchants.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, please, please remember to transfer any miles earned immediately to KrisFlyer. You have seven days to do so, after which they’re stuck forever.

I thought Amaze is not supported on Apple Pay?

No. Your statement starts with Krispay* , which is not eligible for 10X

Does anybody else have issues transferring the bonus miles to Krisflyer? Unlike normal transactions, there’s no option to transfer the bonus miles earned at all.
