July offer: Get up to S$100 GrabFood vouchers with OCBC credit cards

Expired

Get up to $100 GrabFood vouchers on approval for an OCBC credit card, for new-to-bank customers.

For the month of July, new-to-bank customers who apply for OCBC credit cards through SingSaver will get S$100 GrabFood vouchers upon approval.

Existing customers will get S$50 GrabFood vouchers, but they’ll need to be among the first 1,000 to spend S$300 by the end of the month following card approval.

โš ๏ธ New-to-bank customers are defined as those who do not currently hold an OCBC principal credit card, and have not done so in the past 12 months prior to application date. Do note that gifts are fulfilled by OCBC, not SingSaver.

In addition to this, transactions at the following websites are also eligible for 4 mpd:

  • Daigou
  • Ezbuy
  • IKEA
  • Lazada
  • Mustafa Centre
  • Qoo10
  • Shopee
  • Taobao

The above list is not exhaustive, and OCBC maintains an active presence on the HWZ forums, answering questions about merchant eligibility. If you’re unsure about a specific merchant, that’s your best shot of getting an answer.

The HWZ community has put together a spreadsheet of retailers which have also been confirmed to earn 4 mpd. This includes:

  • Apple (both online and in-store)
  • Audio House
  • Best Denki
  • Challenger
  • Gain City
  • Harvey Norman
  • Isetan
  • Microsoft
  • Marks & Spencer
  • Parisilk

The 4 mpd rate is capped at $12,000 of spending per membership year. If you were approved for the card in January 2020, your cap will be reset on 1 January 2021. However, you can double your cap by getting both the Blue and Pink versions of the card.

Remember that only 1X OCBC$ will be credited upon the transaction posting. The remaining 9X OCBC$ will be credited by the end of the following month.

Conclusion

This offer is basically the same as last month’s, and is a way to pick up some extra GrabFood vouchers if you don’t already have an OCBC card.

We’ve previously seen cashback offers from OCBC for new-to-bank customers, so if you’d prefer the flexibility of cash, you might want to wait for the next iteration.
