New KrisFlyer Experiences: Online photography, sake tasting, coffee brewing, and animal shows

KrisFlyer Experiences launches additional online workshops, from 2,000-8,000 KrisFlyer miles each.

KrisFlyer Experiences has launched a new batch of online workshops for KrisFlyer members. This is the second set they’ve released this month, following the previous round of art, whiskey tasting, fashion and aromatherapy workshops.

What are the new KrisFlyer Experiences?

A total of 9 online workshops have been organized, spanning topics like clay art, aromatherapy, whiskey tasting, and fashion.

Here’s the schedule and cost of each workshop:

Some of these workshops will send you a kit with the materials you’ll need to participate (hence the higher cost of the sake and coffee ones). Members can redeem as many tickets as they want, but all redemptions are non-refundable.

Each class has a minimum participants requirement, and will be cancelled if this threshold is not met. Miles will be refunded for any cancelled classes.

Is it worth it?

We can debate the merits of spending 2,000 miles so your kid can attend a livestream of an animal show, or 8,000 miles for three sample-sized bottles of sake, but at the end of the day only you can answer that question.

If you find the subject matter interesting and have the miles to spend, why not? It’s one of the few things you can do with your KrisFlyer miles right now.

Conclusion

Although these online workshops are a far cry from an all expenses paid trip to the BRIT Awards, it’s about all that can be done at the moment, so long as the prohibition on large scale gatherings remains in place.

I’m curious to hear from anyone who attended one of the past workshops- was it well run, did you feel it was worth it?

A friend and I both booked the Whisky tasting, and the information covered was pretty basic. Most of the attendees were pretty quiet, so besides the whisky expert, the other person that spoke a lot was the Diageo staff. That said, the Whisky itself were pretty spectacular. (Out of the other 3 samples, 2 were also amazing, while the last one was Interesting – most would probably not enjoy the salty… Read more »
