Hilton Honors offering double points and double elite nights- register now

Hilton Honors has just opened registration for their next global promotion, which is valid for stays from 8 September to 31 December 2020. 

Registered members will earn double points and double elite qualifying nights, with no cap. 

Hilton Honors Double Rewards promotion

Hilton Honors members will first need to register via this link. After registration, they’ll earn double base points and double elite night credits for all stays between 8 September and 31 December 2020. 

• Member: 10 20 points per US$1
• Silver: 12 22 points  per US$1
• Gold: 18 28 points per US$1
• Diamond: 20 30 points per US$1

Double elite nights will count towards Milestone Bonuses and fast tracks (like the ongoing Hilton status match) in 2020, and will rollover to 2021.

In other words, should you stay 5 nights during the promotion period, you’ll earn 10 elite nights, all of which will roll over to 2021. The rollover means that anyone who somehow hits 30 nights during this promotion period will get 60 in 2021- automatically qualifying for Hilton Diamond status till March 2023. 

Double elite nights will also be granted for award stays, and will count towards the earning of lifetime status. 

All Hilton brands worldwide are participating in this promotion. Unlike the most recent Marriott offer, reservations made before registering will still be eligible, so long as the stay falls within the promotion period.

Save more with American Express cards

American Express is currently running a new campaign for staycations called “Open for Travel”. Cardholders will enjoy hotel statement credits, discounted staycation rates, and enhanced value when redeeming Membership Rewards points for charges at selected hotels. 

This campaign runs from 25 August to 8 November 2020, and applies to all Singapore-issued American Express cards (excluding those from Citibank, DBS and UOB). 

AMEX cardholders can register for a Hilton statement credit offer, which gives a S$120 rebate upon spending S$400 or more. 

The following Singapore properties are participating in this promotion:

• Conrad Centennial
• Hilton Garden Inn Serangoon
• Hilton Singapore

This credit can be used a maximum of once per property, at a maximum of three properties. In other words, you could spend S$400 each at Conrad Centennial, Hilton Garden Inn Serangoon, and Hilton Singapore, and get 3 x S$120 rebates.

If you want to patronize the same hotel more than once, what you should do is register a second American Express card for this promotion- the cap applies on a card level. 

Conclusion

Hilton has certainly been active during the COVID-19 period, rolling out a series of attractive promotions and being one of the first major chains to extend elite status for all members worldwide.

Of the three Hilton properties in Singapore, only the Hilton Singapore is currently accepting staycation bookings. However, this promotion is valid for stays up till the end of 2020, so there’s no harm registering just in case.
