HeyMax has launched a 50% transfer bonus to IHG One Rewards, valid for conversions made by 12 November 2026.
While this may sound interesting to IHG loyalists, the low base value of an IHG One Rewards point should make this a non-starter. If you really need more points, buying them during one of IHG’s 100% bonus sales would be a better approach.

HeyMax offering 50% transfer bonus to IHG One Rewards

From 3-12 November 2026, HeyMax is offering an uncapped 50% bonus on transfers from Max Miles to IHG One Rewards.
Users will receive 2.25 IHG One Rewards points for every 1 Max Mile transferred, instead of the usual 1.5 points. A minimum transfer of 1,000 Max Miles is required, with increments of 2 Max Miles beyond this.

No registration is required, and base and bonus points should be credited instantly.
Is it worth it?
No.
If you really want IHG One Rewards points, it makes more sense to liquidate your Max Miles into cash, and use the cash to buy the points.
Max Miles can be converted into cash via FlyAnywhere at 1.8 cents per mile, and IHG One Rewards frequently sells points with a 100% bonus, or 0.5 US cents (0.64 SG cents) per point.
Therefore, you could effectively buy 2.8 IHG One Rewards points per Max Mile, 25% more than this transfer bonus. What’s more, you’d earn credit card miles when buying IHG One Rewards points, unlike converting Max Miles.
The main limitation is that members can purchase up to 400,000 points per year (after a 100% bonus), so if you need more than this, you might not have a choice.
What can you do with Max Miles?
Max Miles can be converted to more than 20 airline and hotel partners, without any fees.

Alternatively, you can also cash out Max Miles via FlyAnywhere at 1.8 cents per mile, simply by submitting any air ticket booked in the past 30 days.
- Book your air tickets however you like: through the airline’s official website, an OTA, or even a traditional brick-and-mortar travel agency
- Submit a FlyAnywhere redemption request via the HeyMax app
- Get reimbursed for your flight in cash, via PayNow, at a rate of 1.8 cents per Max Mile
Both commercial and award flights are eligible — in the case of the latter, HeyMax will reimburse you for the cash component of the ticket, i.e. taxes and surcharges.
If you’re short of Max Miles, one option is to take a drawdown of your HeyMax First balance. All HeyMax users automatically receive a complimentary Silver membership, which allows them to take a “loan” of up to 30,000 Max Miles for an access fee of 3 cents per mile, which will be refunded once the miles are earned back. Alternatively, they can upgrade to higher tiers to get access to a larger miles pool at a lower access fee, with the first year’s membership fee waived.
| Tier | Miles Pool | Member Fee | Access Fee |
| Silver | 30K | Free | 3¢ per mile |
| Gold | 100K | S$299 | 2.7¢ per mile |
| Platinum | 300K | S$699 | 2.5¢ per mile |
| Reserve | 1M | S$1,999 | 2.3¢ per mile |

Conclusion
HeyMax’s 50% transfer bonus to IHG One Rewards is best ignored, because the math simply doesn’t work out. Even with the bonus, you’re better off cashing out Max Miles via FlyAnywhere at 1.8 cents each and buying IHG points during one of their regular 100% bonus sales. This gets you 25% more points, and you’ll earn credit card miles on the purchase too.
The only scenario where this might make sense is if you’ve already hit IHG’s annual purchase cap and need more points urgently.
