Klook has launched an initiative called Klook Cares: Hawker Edition, which supports hawkers at Hong Lim Food Centre as well as ComfortDelGro taxi drivers.
From now till 13 June 2021, Klook will channel 50% of e-gift card sales to buying meals from Hong Lim hawkers, which will be donated to ComfortDelGro taxi drivers. OCBC cardholders will also be able to save 20% off e-gift card purchases, with limited quantities available each month.
Buy Klook gift cards at 20% off
OCBC credit and debit cardholders can purchase Klook e-gift cards at a 20% discount up till 30 June 2021. The following denominations are eligible:
- Buy S$50 e-gift card for S$40
- Buy S$100 e-gift card for S$80
Other denominations like S$25 and S$200 are also available for sale, but they won’t receive any discount.
A maximum of 500 discounted e-gift cards will be sold per month, and each Klook user can buy only one discounted gift card. Klook e-gift cards have no expiry date, and can be stacked together with Klook Credits and other promo codes (including SRV) when paying for purchases. In other words, they’re as good as cash on the Klook platform.
To buy a discounted e-gift card, simply click on this link, add an e-gift card to your cart, and enter an OCBC credit or debit card number. The discount will be automatically reflected if it’s still available.
It’s basically an opportunity to lock in a 20% saving on a future activity, hotel stay or anything else you can book on the Klook platform.
Which card should I use?
OCBC cardholders can earn the following miles for purchases made with Klook.
Card | Earn Rate |
OCBC 90N Card | 1.2 |
OCBC Premier Visa Infinite | 1.28 |
OCBC VOYAGE | 1.3 |
OCBC VOYAGE (Premier, PPC, BOS) |
1.6 |
For the avoidance of doubt, OCBC Titanium Rewards cardholders will not earn 4 mpd with Klook (since it codes as a travel agency), so your best bet is to use a general spending card.
Other ways to donate your SRV
On a separate note, if you have no plans to use your SRV it’s possible to donate them through Klook to benefit underprivileged children, families and migrant workers.
Tickets can be purchased for attractions like Universal Studios, S.E.A Aquarium, the Singapore Flyer and Science Centre. These will be sent to Klook’s partners who work with beneficiaries to arrange the visit.
The redemption process is exactly the same as if you were buying an activity for yourself. You’ll need access to SingPass to generate your SRV discount code.
Conclusion
This is an easy way to lock in a 20% discount on a future Klook booking, while doing some good in the process. Since the gift cards can be stacked with Klook Credits and promo codes, there’s very little reason not to buy one if you’re an OCBC cardholder.
