New World of Hyatt Bonus Journeys promotion
Registered World of Hyatt will earn 2,022 bonus points for every two nights stayed from 15 January and 20 April 2022.
Any stays booked prior to registration will still qualify, provided you register prior to check-out of your first stay.
Do note the following:
- There is no requirement for the nights to be consecutive; for example if I stay one night at Hyatt A, and next week one night at Hyatt B, I’ll earn 2,022 bonus points
- Members can earn this bonus a maximum of 10 times (i.e 20 nights), or 20,220 bonus points
- Award stays will count towards this promotion
This promotion is valid for stays at all Hyatt properties, participating MGM resorts, selected SLH locations, and Lindblad Expedition experiences.
Since this is a fixed bonus unrelated to the rate paid, you’ll obviously get better value by staying at cheaper hotels. It’s just a shame Indonesia hasn’t fully opened up to Singapore residents, as there’s a good number of sub-S$100 properties that would be great for status running.
As a reminder, World of Hyatt has reduced its elite status requirements by 50% for 2021, so you can earn Globalist with just 30 nights instead of the usual 60.
Tier | Elite Nights | Base Points |
Discoverist | 12,500 |

Explorist | 15 |
25,000 |
Globalist | 30 |

Buy World of Hyatt points at 30% off
Since award stays count towards this promotion, it might be a good time to drop a reminder of Hyatt’s ongoing points sale– one of the best we’ve ever seen.
From now till 31 December 2021, 12.59 a.m SGT, all purchases of at least 5,000 World of Hyatt points will receive a 30% discount.
30% off World of Hyatt points |
A maximum of 55,000 points can be purchased in a calendar year, but you can combine points across accounts during redemptions so you and your spouse/traveling companion could each buy points and pool them if necessary.
Buying points with a 30% discount is equivalent to paying 1.68 US cents per point. That’s even cheaper than the largest public bonus we used to see (40%, or 1.71 US cents per point).
World of Hyatt has now introduced peak pricing after delaying its implementation several times, so here’s how much you can expect to pay for a standard room redemption depending on time of year.
Category | Off-Peak | Standard | Peak |
1 | 3,500 | 5,000 | 6,500 |
2 | 6,500 | 8,000 | 9,500 |
3 | 9,000 | 12,000 | 15,000 |
4 | 12,000 | 15,000 | 18,000 |
5 | 17,000 | 20,000 | 23,000 |
6 | 21,000 | 25,000 | 29,000 |
7 | 25,000 | 30,000 | 35,000 |
8 | 35,000 | 40,000 | 45,000 |
Peak/off-peak pricing only applies to stays from 1 March 2022, so any stays before that will follow standard award costs (note: this refers to when you stay, not when you book).
World of Hyatt points expire after 24 consecutive months of inactivity, but Hyatt has temporarily paused all expiry until 31 December 2021.
Conclusion
World of Hyatt’s latest Bonus Journeys promotion will start in January 2022, so it’ll come too late for those of you with year-end travel plans. 2,022 points per two nights is certainly not as generous as the 3X offer we saw earlier this year, but if you’re planning to stay at a Hyatt anyway…
Do take a moment to register, just in case.
