Free HoteLux membership for Mastercard members
From now till 30 September 2024, selected Mastercard cardholders can enjoy a complimentary HoteLux membership as follows:
- World Mastercard: 12 months HoteLux Elite membership + 1,000 points (worth US$100)
- World Elite Mastercard: 12 months HoteLux Elite Plus membership + 2,000 points (worth US$200)
Do note that you require a minimum of 3,000 HoteLux points to redeem a hotel voucher, so you can’t cash out any welcome points straight away.
Both HoteLux Elite and Elite Plus members can book luxury privileges rates through the HoteLux app and redeem HoteLux points. The main differences are summarised below:

Luxury privilege rates price the same as the hotel’s best flexible rate, and are fully refundable up to 24-48 hours before check-in. They’re also eligible to earn hotel points and elite night credits, where applicable.
Conclusion
To be clear, you don’t need a HoteLux membership to book luxury privileges rates; there are many agents out there who offer the same service.
However, HoteLux makes the search process a lot more convenient through its app, and you can book and cancel instantly. That alone is reason enough to use it, especially since you can now get a free membership.

Yes it is possible. In the app it is possible to upgrade tier via a promotion.
Does this mean you could get 1000 points by paying a joining fee and then get another 2000 points via upgrade if you have a world mastercard elite?

OCBC Voyage Card also gets 12 months complimentary Elite membership. After 12 months, do we have to cancel the membership if we do not wish to continue? will they bill us by default if we don’t cancel?

Is this promo been downgraded, the link now shows that Mastercard World Elite only 50$ credit (500 points) and just basic elite status 12 mths (no plus), while normal Mastercard World gets 3 mths and no credit. And strangely, I just activated it with my citi prestige, and got only basic elite, plus a 1000 points. Didnt get the 2000 points and plus status. :/
