American Express has launched a new AMEX Offer for AMEX Singapore Airlines Credit Cards, which awards up to 3.3 mpd on all Kris+ transactions from now till 30 November 2023.

While this offer could be potentially useful to some, there are better cards out there which offer 4-6 mpd on Kris+ year-round.
Earn up to 3.3 mpd on Kris+ transactions
From 1-30 November 2023, AMEX Singapore Airlines Credit Card members will earn a bonus 2 mpd on Kris+ transactions as follows:

The bonus component is capped at S$400 of spending throughout the entire campaign period. In other words, the maximum bonus you can earn is 800 KrisFlyer miles.
Bonus miles will be credited within 5 business days from qualifying spend, but may take up to 90 days from the end of the offer date. In practice, they post very fast though.
Better cards to use for Kris+
Even with the upsized earn rate, the AMEX KrisFlyer cards aren’t my first choice for Kris+.
There are other cards which would offer an extra 4-6 mpd, with a much higher cap.

Earning miles with Kris+
Kris+ now partners with almost 450 different merchants islandwide, including Bottles & Bottles, Challenger, Harvey Norman, the Tung Lok Group, and TWG Tea, offering an extra 1-9 mpd on top of credit card miles.

To earn miles at a Kris+ merchant, all you need to do is:
- Scan the merchant’s Kris+ QR code
- Enter the amount to be paid, and press “Pay” to pay via Apple/Google Pay
Don’t forget to transfer any KrisPay miles you earn to KrisFlyer within 7 days of the transaction, in their entirety. A big “Transfer to KrisFlyer” button will appear after every transaction.
If you wait longer than seven days, or spend any portion of the KrisPay miles earned, the remaining balance will be stuck in Kris+, where they can only be spent at 0.67 cents apiece with a six-month expiry.
Conclusion
From now till 30 November 2023, American Express is offering AMEX KrisFlyer cardholders a bonus 2 mpd on all Kris+ transactions, capped at 800 bonus miles.
But unless you’re a die-hard AMEX KrisFlyer card user, it’s hard to see why this would be appealing when there’s many other cards out there with better earn rates. The only scenario I could see you going for this is if you’ve busted your caps elsewhere.
