Marriott Bonvoy offering double elite nights and 1,000 bonus points per night

Expired

Register now and stay from 13 February to 29 April 2024 to earn 1,000 bonus points per night and double elite nights- perfect for mattress runs.

Marriott Bonvoy has opened registration for a new promotion that runs from 13 February to 29 April 2024. Registered members will enjoy 1,000 bonus points and one bonus elite night credit per paid night, with no cap.

1,000 bonus points isn’t much to get excited about, but it’s the extra elite night credits that could be potentially lucrative.

Marriott Bonvoy bonus points and elite nights offer

Register Here

Marriott Bonvoy members will need to register for this promotion by 15 April 2024 via the Promotions section of their account. I’m not sure whether this offer is targeted; if you don’t see it in your account you can try this link, or else I suppose it’s hard luck for you.

Registered members who stay from 13 February to 29 April 2024 will earn:

  • 1,000 bonus points per night, and
  • 1 bonus elite night credit per night

For example, a five-night stay would earn a total of 5,000 bonus points and 10 elite night credits in total.

This offer is only valid for paid stays. Award nights, and nights booked with cash + points will not be eligible. Bonus points and elite nights will be posted to your account within seven business days after checkout.

Is it worth participating?

If you were ever planning a Marriott Bonvoy status run, this would be the time to do it.

Thanks to the double elite nights, you could qualify for Platinum status with just 25 elite nights, instead of the usual 50. You have 76 nights in total to do this, and low-cost properties can be easily found in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Should you qualify for status in 2024, you’ll enjoy it all the way till 28 February 2026. That’s a long time to enjoy Platinum benefits such as complimentary breakfast, club lounge access, room upgrades, and 4 p.m guaranteed late check-out.

Does it stack with the KrisFlyer status accelerator?

Now, I know what everyone’s thinking already: can this offer stack with the status accelerator offer from the Marriott x KrisFlyer partnership?

KrisFlyer Tier Instant Match To… Status Accelerator Challenge
Solitaire PPS Club & PPS Club Gold Platinum
(10 nights in 6 months)
KrisFlyer Elite Gold
KrisFlyer Elite Silver N/A Silver
(3 nights in 6 months)

For the uninitiated, KrisFlyer Elite Gold, PPS Club and Solitaire PPS Club members can register for an instant match to Marriott Gold, with a further upgrade to Marriott Platinum when they stay 10 nights in six months.

If the status accelerator does indeed stack with this offer, then you’d be looking at Platinum in just five nights, which feels a little too good to be true. And it is- Marriott has confirmed that you’ll need to stay 10 qualifying nights to get upgraded, not 10 elite nights.

Conclusion

St Regis Kuala Lumpur

Marriott Bonvoy members can now register to earn 1,000 bonus points and double elite night credits for paid stays till 29 April 2024. It’s unclear whether this offer will stack with the ongoing status accelerator challenge offered to KrisFlyer elite members, but hopefully we’ll get some clarification soon (my gut feeling is no, for what it’s worth).

For those thinking of mattress running their way to Platinum, I can’t think of a better incentive.

If a booking for a Marriot Bonvoy hotel is made via Citi Prestige for the 4th night free offer, will one still enjoy the bonus elite nights and points under this current offer if one has signed up for it?

KEM

It did for me last year (same offer for bonus elite night), at long as booking is done on MB/hotel website.

Chien Herr

Many thanks. will make sure to inform the Citibank concierge accordingly

Michael

I don’t think it’s targeted, I am Titanium and usually miss out on all the targeted offers but this one, like the similar promotion last year this time, appeared in the promotion section of my bonvoy account on the app.

ChekW

It seems targeted. I cant register for it

Renz

Registered… lets see if it stacks with KF.
I have a 3nights stay in couple of weeks

Ken

I came here after seeing it on OMAAT to ask about the Krisflyer match. I’ll check back when you hear from them

Charles

What happens to a two night booking with check out on 30 April? Will both count or one night count or none counts?

Zac

Thanks for sharing, I’ve registered for this promotion and can come back to update whether the night can be doubled in the KF accelerator programme.

I got this message below :
We’re sorry, but there was an error in directing you to this promotion.
The reason for this error could be:

You’re trying to access a miles promotion and are a points-earner, or vice versa
You are not eligible for this promotion
This promotion has expired

Updating your earning preference is fast and easy; simply sign into your account. For all other issues, please contact Marriott Bonvoy Customer Support.

Same issue for me, not showing in account (Titanium) and link gives the same error message when i log in there to register.

Contacted CS, said it was a global promo (not targeted).. although it took a few messages to get that from them, so i am not sure if they are hiding behind ‘its available globally’ vs. it’s not targeted. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Changing earn preference under profile from “Miles” to “Points” did the trick, previously credited the earned marriott directly to KF

Ni T

Tried it today but got a similar message to the previous post. Was not able to see it in my promotions page, Titanium account holder.

Selva

Same issue for me as well, my preference was always points. Reached out to customer care now.

Received clarification from Marriott CSO via email that KF status match cannot stack, still need full 10 nights, wondering if there will be different CSO with different email replies though.
