UOB flash deal: Get an Apple iPad, Dyson Airwrap or up to S$350 vouchers

While UOB cards are great for day-to-day use, they’re not so great in the welcome offers department. Even if you’re lucky enough to find an uncapped welcome offer, there’s usually no additional SingSaver gift to stack. 

But that’s changing for the next 10 days, as SingSaver launches a new UOB acquisition promotion that will see you get, at the very least, S$60 worth of vouchers.

And if you’re willing to camp out the application page when it goes live at 12 p.m today (22 March 2024), your gift could be even larger: an Apple iPad, Dyson Airwrap or S$350 worth of vouchers!

New-to-bank customers who apply for selected UOB credit cards from 22 March 2024, 12 p.m to 31 March 2024, 11.59 p.m (with approval by 15 April 2024) will receive one of the following gifts.

The gifts for the first 200 applicants are the largest we’ve ever seen for UOB cards, and even if you’re reading this late, you’re guaranteed at least S$60 worth of vouchers, which is S$60 more than what you’d usually get when signing up for a UOB card. 

In fact, a bigger challenge than being in the first 200 is to find someone who counts as “new-to-bank” for UOB, since any miles chaser worth their salt will already have one or more of the UOB Preferred Platinum Visa, UOB Lady’s Card or UOB Visa Signature.

This would be the ideal moment to mobilise that greenhorn spouse or family member who happily uses their POSB Everyday Card for everything, and get them to apply once the clock strikes 12 noon.

3. Complete the SingSaver Rewards Redemption Form that is sent to your email, within the first 14 days of application. Ensure that the name, mobile number and email address submitted to SingSaver are the same as that used in the credit card application

Do note that the SingSaver gift stacks with UOB’s regular welcome offers. I would focus on the UOB PRVI Miles AMEX/Mastercard/Visa or KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card, because their UOB welcome gifts are uncapped.

Qualifying spend

Applicants must spend at least S$1,000 per month for two consecutive months from card approval date to be eligible for the SingSaver gifts. 

For example, if your card is approved on 10 March 2024, you will need to spend:

• S$1,000 from 10 March 2024 to 9 April 2024
• S$1,000 from 10 April 2024 to 9 May 2024

This is the same minimum spend you’ll need for the UOB welcome offers (with the exception of the KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card, where you need to spend S$2,000 in the first 60 days of approval), so you can kill two birds with one stone. 

A list of excluded spend can be found in the UOB T&Cs, and includes the usual suspects like insurance, education, government entities and charitable donations.

Conclusion

From now till 31 March 204, new-to-bank customers are guaranteed at least S$60 worth of vouchers with a new UOB credit card, on top of the usual UOB gifts. And if you’re willing to camp at 12 p.m today, that could become an even bigger gift, as the first 200 applicants walk away with iPads, Dyson Airwraps or S$350 in vouchers.
