HSBC Fund and Fly: Earn up to 55,200 bonus miles with a new Everyday Global Account

From now till 31 July 2026, open a HSBC Everyday Global Account and earn up to 55,200 bonus miles with a fresh funds deposit starting from S$50,000.

The HSBC Revolution received a major boost on 1 April 2026, with the permanent reinstatement of bonuses for travel and contactless spending, the return of complimentary travel insurance, and an upgrade to Visa Signature.

However, the best value is reserved for cardholders with a HSBC Everyday Global Account (EGA). Not only do they enjoy a slightly higher monthly bonus cap of S$1,200, their earn rate is enhanced to a whopping 8 mpd, double that of a regular cardholder.

If you don’t have an EGA yet, HSBC is running a promotion called Fund and Fly, which offers up to 55,200 bonus miles for opening an account, transferring fresh funds and maintaining them for a three-month period.

Details: HSBC Fund and Fly promotion

From 1 March to 31 July 2026, customers who open a HSBC Everyday Global Account and deposit fresh funds will receive 19,200 to 55,200 miles, based on their Average Daily Balance (ADB).

Deposits ADB Amount Reward
≥S$50,000 48,000 HSBC points
(up to 19,200 miles)
≥S$100,000 88,000 HSBC points
(up to 35,200 miles)
≥S$150,000 138,000 HSBC points
(up to 55,200 miles)

This offer is available to customers who:

  • Do not have an existing HSBC Personal Banking account, and
  • Did not have a HSBC Personal Banking, Premier or Premier Elite relationship during the 12-month period prior to 1 March 2026

Both new and existing HSBC cardholders are eligible to participate. In fact, you will need a valid HSBC credit card (preferably a Revolution, but not necessarily) to receive the bonus HSBC points from Fund and Fly.

❓ New cardholders only?

This line on the landing page seems to suggest that Fund and Fly is only for customers who don’t already have a HSBC credit card.

“This promotion is valid for customers who are new to HSBC. That means customers who do not have an HSBC Everyday Global Account or any HSBC credit cards yet.”

Don’t get confused. This is referring specifically to the bundle promotion, which offers an extra 42,000 HSBC points for new-to-bank customers who apply for a HSBC Revolution Card, on top of the EGA opening bonus.

The T&Cs for Fund and Fly state very clearly (at point 1(c)) that the promotion is valid for both new and existing HSBC credit cardholders.

How long must the funds be maintained?

ADB in the HSBC EGA must be maintained for at least three months, as illustrated in the table below.

For example, if your EGA was opened in April 2026, funds must be deposited by the last day of April 2026 and maintained till the last day of July 2026. You will then receive the bonus HSBC points by the last day of September 2026.

Important things to note

No bonus interest

This promotion is not stackable with the Everyday Global Account Bonus Interest Promotion, which this month is offering 1.8% p.a. on incremental fresh funds of up to S$5M.

In other words, during the three-month maintenance period for Fund and Fly, you will not be eligible to earn bonus interest on the incremental deposits to the EGA.

Stackable with Everyday+ Rewards Programme

This promotion is stackable with the Everyday+ Rewards programme, which awards an extra 1% p.a. bonus interest on incremental SGD ADB.

To qualify, customers must:

  • Deposit fresh funds via salary crediting or inward transfers from a non-HSBC account
    • Personal banking: S$2,000 minimum
    • HSBC Premier: S$5,000 minimum
  • Make at least five eligible transactions with an Everyday Global Debit Card or any HSBC credit card

The 1% bonus interest on incremental SGD ADB is capped at S$300 per month.

Sole accounts only

If you’re planning to use the S$50,000 ADB in your HSBC EGA to unlock the 8 mpd earn rate with the HSBC Revolution Card, do note that the restrictions are slightly tighter:

  • Only sole HSBC EGAs are eligible
  • Only balances in SGD are eligible

In contrast, Fund and Fly is valid for both sole and joint accounts, and ADB can be in SGD or their FCY equivalent.

Terms & Conditions

The T&Cs of the Fund and Fly promotion can be found here.

What can you do with HSBC points?

HSBC points can be transferred to 20 airline and hotel partners, at the ratios shown in the table below.

The crucial thing to understand is that not all partners share the same transfer ratio. Therefore, the effective earn rate depends on the partner you choose.

For example, the HSBC Revolution only earns 8 mpd if you choose a partner with a 25,000 points = 10,000 miles transfer ratio, like British Airways Executive Club or EVA Air Infinity MileageLands. If you choose KrisFlyer, where the ratio is 30,000 points = 10,000 miles, then the earn rate is 6.66 mpd (that’s still not bad, mind you!).

All conversions must be done via the HSBC Singapore app (Android | iOS) and are processed instantly, with the exception of the following:

  • Hainan Fortune Wings Club: Within 5 business days
  • Japan Airlines Mileage Bank: Within 10 business days

Conversions are free of charge until further notice, and HSBC points are pooled across cards.

While the minimum transfer block is 10,000 miles/points (Accor: 5,000 points), the subsequent block is just 2 miles (Accor: 1 point). In other words, you could choose to transfer 10,002 miles or 20,958 miles, which helps you avoid orphan points.

Conclusion

The HSBC Everyday Global Account is now offering up to 55,200 bonus miles for customers who open an account and maintain at least S$50,000 in fresh funds for a three-month period.

Your value of a mile will determine whether or not that’s a good deal, but it’s worth remembering that  you won’t be eligible for the EGA’s bonus interest promotion during this period.

I’ve just updated my review of the HSBC Revolution to reflect its new reward mechanics and features, so be sure to have a read of that here.
