HeyMax offering 100% transfer bonus to Wyndham Rewards

From now till 31 August 2026, get a 100% bonus on Max Miles to Wyndham Rewards points transfers, and redeem rooms from just 3,750 Max Miles.

HeyMax has launched a new promotion that offers a 100% transfer bonus — in the form of 50% milesback — to Wyndham Rewards.

While Wyndham Rewards may not be the best-known programme in this part of the world, it offers more than 9,000 hotels across 80+ countries. Some of its biggest brands in Asia include Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Ramada, Wyndham Garden and Wyndham Grand.

What’s more, award nights start from just 7,500 points, or 3,750 Max Miles with this transfer bonus.

How does Wyndham Rewards work?

Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc

Wyndham Rewards has a very simple award chart, which features three pricing tiers.

Tier Points per Night No. of Properties
1 7,500 2,085
2 15,000 5,601
3 30,000 709

There is no seasonal or peak/off-peak pricing, so the cost of a given property will be the same year-round. This creates the potential for outsized value, especially if you’re staying during a period of elevated pricing.

Using Bangkok as an example, there’s a large number of properties starting from 7,500 points per night. These aren’t what you’d call aspirational redemptions — Wyndham isn’t exactly known for that — but if a roof over your head is all you need, then it’s hard to argue with paying 3,750 Max Miles.

Property Points per Night
Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside 7,500
Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 7,500
Ramada by Wyndham Bangkok Ten Ekamai Residences 7,500
Ramada by Wyndham Bangkok Sukhumvit 87 7,500
Wyndham Bangkok Queen Convention Centre 15,000
Wyndham Garden Bangkok Sukhumvit 42 15,000

The Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside costs 7,500 points a night, versus 4,900 THB (S$189), so you’re getting 2.5 cents per point, or 5 cents per Max Mile under this promotion.

Other 7,500 points options in the region include the Ramada Jeju City Hall, 1001 Nights Hotel Genting Highlands, Trigo Kuala Lumpur, Ramada Encore Seminyak Bali, Wyndham Garden Hanoi, and Wyndham Garden Grandworld Phu Quoc.

You can search for hotels at different award price tiers here.

Wyndham Rewards changes are coming on 15 September

Before you make any transfers, you should know that Wyndham Rewards is planning some programme changes from 15 September 2026, which could be good or bad, depending on where you want to stay.

The good news is that the cost of the cheapest award night will decrease from 7,500 points to 5,000 points. However, a new award category that costs 45,000 points will also be introduced, which Wyndham Rewards says will be used for “a small number of our most elevated hotels” (isn’t that what World of Hyatt said when they first introduced category 8 awards?).

Tier Points per Night
1 7,500
5,000
2 15,000
3 30,000
4
45,000
New

There’s no knowing how Asia will be affected, though obviously the hope is that we’ll see more 7,500-point hotels going down to 5,000 points, as opposed to doubling to 15,000 points.

Any reservations booked before 15 September 2026 will be honored at their current rates even if the property subsequently increases in price — so it might be a good idea to lock in some stays now.

If the property you booked decreases in price, Wyndham Rewards will automatically refund the extra points.

What about Wyndham Rewards points sales?

Wyndham Rewards sells points several times a year, usually with a bonus of 80-90%. This is equivalent to paying about 0.87 to 0.92 cents per point (in SGD).

You should be getting at least 1.8 cents per Max Mile, given the FlyAnywhere option, so the current 100% transfer bonus represents “buying” Wyndham Rewards points at 0.9 cents each — more or less a wash.

The main limitation of buying points through Wyndham Rewards directly is that you’re capped at purchasing 100,000 points per year (pre-bonus). Also, you’ll have to pay a 3.25% FCY transaction fee with most credit cards, unless you’re willing to forgo miles by using a Revolut/YouTrip type solution.

How long are Wyndham Rewards points valid for?

Wyndham Rewards points expire if you have no earning or redemption activity within an 18-month period.

However, all points expire four years after they’re earned, regardless of activity.

Wyndham Rewards status match

Offer Details

If you’re planning to stay at a Wyndham Rewards property, be sure to take advantage of the Mastercard status match.

Cardholders receive an instant fast track up to Diamond, the highest tier in the programme

  • World Elite Mastercard: Wyndham Rewards Diamond
  • World & World Select Mastercard: Wyndham Rewards Platinum
  • Platinum, Titanium, Standard & Gold Mastercard: Wyndham Rewards Gold

Once your account is upgraded, status is valid for a 12-month period. It could potentially be longer than this though, as based on my understanding, Wyndham Rewards status expires at the end of the calendar year following the calendar year in which it was obtained.

Here’s a summary of the perks enjoyed by the various elite tiers of Wyndham Rewards membership.

Diamond status comes with suite upgrades (subject to availability) and a welcome amenity, but does not include free breakfast. Also, most of the brands under the Wyndham umbrella are mid to low-end, so suite upgrades might not mean a whole lot.

Conclusion

HeyMax is now offering a 100% transfer bonus to Wyndham Rewards, which allows you to redeem award nights from just 3,750 Max Miles. This could be a good deal depending on where you’re headed, but you will want to ensure that you’re getting at least 1.8 cents per Max Mile from your redemptions.

Also note that Wyndham Rewards will be adjusting its award chart from 15 September 2026, and introducing a new top-tier reward category of 45,000 points. For what it’s worth, the cheapest possible award will also be cut to 5,000 points, which might present some opportunities for Southeast Asia redemptions.

Finally, it’s important to remember that Wyndham Rewards hotels lean more cheap and cheerful. Set your expectations low, and you won’t be disappointed.
