Kaligo is an OTA which offers significant rebates in the form of miles when you book hotels through them. Kaligo has historically offered 10 mpd to holders of DBS Altitude, UOB PRVI and Citibank PremierMiles cards, but from now till 31 July 2018 theyโre offering 12 mpd for eligible Citibank cardholders.
As per the T&C of this promotion, if you hold a Citi ULTIMA (https://www.kaligo.com/premium-rewards), Citi Prestige (https://www.kaligo.com/more-rewards), Citibank PremierMiles Visa or Citibank PremierMiles AMEX (both at https://www.kaligo.com/bonus-miles), youโre eligible for 12 mpd on Kaligo bookings made till 31 July 2018 and consumed by 31 December 2018.
If this is your first time booking with Kaligo, you can earn an extra 1,000 miles on your first booking when you sign up using this link (I earn 500 miles).
Here are some sample rates I pulled for Bangkok in August reflecting the promotion.
In case youโre wondering why the room rates and miles earned donโt match up on the screen above (e.g. $249 room rate and 3,492 Citi miles implies a rate of 14 mpd, not 12) itโs because the room rate donโt include taxes but the miles figure does.
As the screenshot below shows, that $249 room rate becomes $292 after taxes, so with a total mileage accrual of 3,492, your miles per dollar is 292/3492= 12 mpd.
My only caution about Kaligo would be that sometimes their rates are much higher than other OTAs, so Iโd be sure to comparison shop before making a booking. However, if youโre able to find a room that prices the same on Kaligo as elsewhere, youโre looking at quite a nice haul.
Mmmโฆ if i add more nights mpd drops a lot.. am i do it wrong? The bonus miles doesnโt accumulate for booking > 1 night.

Nice in theory, pretty useless in practice: Have tried booking for two different periods this summer in Kent (Just outside London), and there are NO properties available to book at all. Same for Amsterdam in mid-June. Very strange!
Hi, wonder if they will honour the miles if im booking on behalf (not in travel party). Have a few trips for my folks. If applicable it will be very good.
