How to register for your free Accor Plus membership with the AMEX SIA Business Card

The AMEX SIA Business Card is waiving its first year $299 fee and giving a free Accor Plus membership. Here's how to enroll for your benefit.

From now till 30 September 2020, American Express is offering a fantastic deal to anyone who owns a small or medium-sized business.

Apply Here

The AMEX Singapore Airlines Business Credit Card is waiving its first year S$299 annual fee, while retaining all the same benefits- including an Accor Plus Explorer membership with a complimentary one-night hotel stay. Accor Plus members also enjoy up to 50% off dining at more than 1,400 restaurants across Asia Pacific, special rates on hotel rooms, and exclusive event invitations.

You can read more about the offer here, but yes, it really is that simple. You’ll even enjoy a bonus of 30,000 HighFlyer points (equal to 15,000 KrisFlyer miles) when you spend S$5,000 in the first 6 months of membership.

How to register for the Accor Plus benefit

I received my AMEX SIA Business Card in the mail yesterday, and while the welcome package isn’t nearly as nice as the one for the AMEX Platinum Charge, it gets the job done.

Inside you’ll find all the usual documentation and legalese, but no information at all on ow to register for the benefits.

So here’s what to do. Navigate to this page and click on “Travel Privileges”.

Scroll down and you’ll see Accor Plus. Click “Enrol Now”, and you’ll be sent to the AMEX online portal to sign-in.

Once logged in, you’ll see the following:

Click on “Enrol” under Accor Plus, follow the instructions, and that’s it (remember to provide your existing Accor Live Limitless number if you have one).

Here’s where you’ll also register for Hertz Gold Plus Rewards, and your Priority Pass membership with two free visits each year. Enrollment requests usually take 1-3 business days, but may take up to 15 business days.

Unrelated, but interesting nonetheless- Accor is currently selling prepaid packages for the following Maldives properties:

  • Pullman Maldives
  • Raffles Maldives Meradhoo
  • Movenpick Kuredhivaru Maldives
  • Mercure Maldives Koodoo
  • Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi

Accor Plus members receive an additional 10% off these packages, so if you fancy that we’ll be able to go to the Maldives by 30 September 2021 (Brendan Sobie thinks we should!), do check the deals out.

Conclusion

I’m going to use my Accor Plus free night benefit to review the Sofitel City Centre, and have plans to try the various Sofitel restaurants with the 50% off benefit.

Once again, this offer is available until 30 September 2020, so if you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate. It’s really a fantastic deal, and if nothing else you’ll get a free staycation out of it.

Any idea how long it takes for the Accor Plus to be approved? I signed up 1 week ago following the instructions in this post and it still says pending on the page which reflects the card benefits

Edwin
