Get a 10% rebate or tickets to Milan on Qatar Airways with DBS

From now till 2 November, DBS is running a promotion to encourage you to use your DBS cards for online spending.

With a minimum of $400 spent online (does not need to be in one transaction), you can win

• A 10% rebate (capped at $50)
• A pair of return tickets to Milan on Qatar Airways (class of travel is not stated, but I assume they’re economy)

This is open to the first 2,000 card members who register on the DBS Lifestyle app.

The interface on the DBS Lifestyle app isn’t as seamless as I hoped for- you need to register your cards and the amount you spent manually

Online spending excludes the following

a) payments made via telephone or mail order;
b) payments to government institutions;
c) payments to financial institutions (including banks and brokerages);
d) payments to insurance companies;
e) payments to telecommunications providers;
f) all bill payments;
g) donations;
h) payment of funds to prepaid accounts and merchants who are categorized as “payment service providers”. E.g. MoneySend, Skrill.com, Matchmove.com;
i) payments to schools, hospitals, professional service providers and payment for parking lots;
j) payments made via online banking;
k) EZLink transactions;
l) payments made via AXS and SAM;
m) NETS transactions;
n) fuel;
o) purchase of gift vouchers,

All my online spending currently goes on my HSBC Advance card, but this might convince me to switch some back to the DBS Woman’s World Card instead.

If you’ve already got $400 or more of committed online spend, quickly get it done and register on the app. Methinks 2,000 slots will go very quickly…
