Mileslife, the app which allows you to earn miles when you spend on dining, hotels, spa treatments and recreational activities, has added Emirates Skywards as a transfer partner.
Emirates Skywards members who use Mileslife can earn up to 5 miles per S$1, as well as a bonus based on their tier of membership
- ย Silver:ย 25%ย additional bonus Skywards Miles
- ย Gold:ย 50%ย additional bonus Skywards Miles
- ย Platinum:ย 75%ย additional bonus Skywards Miles
Points will post to your Emirates Skywards account within 5 business days of your transaction.
To celebrate the launch, Mileslife is offering 200 free Skywards miles when you link an Emirates Skywards account to the Mileslife app from now till 30 November 2017.ย This is available for both new and existing users of Mileslife.
You’ll also earn 3X the regular miles when you select Emirates Skywards as your earning currency. So, for example, if a restaurant is offering 3 mpd, you’ll earn 9 mpd. If you’re an Emirates Skywards elite member, your 25/50/75% bonus will accrue on top of this.
I find the elite status multiplier to be the most interesting feature about this, given that most airlines do not award status bonuses when earning miles from third party sources. For example, a Krisflyer base tier member would earn the same number of miles as a Solitaire PPS member when using Mileslife.
The question I suppose you have on your mind is “what can I do with Skywards miles?” I’m not an expert on the program, so I’ll refer you to this article where you can get some ideas going. I’m still working on a piece that showcases some of the unique award sweet spots you can access through Mileslife’s partner airlines, so stay tuned for that.
As a reminder, if you’re new to Mileslife you can sign up using the links here to earn 1,000 bonus miles on your first transaction of S$49 or more, done within 30 days of registration.
Same topic but different airline – spg points coverted to LifeMiles on avianca to redeem ticket will be better than krisflyer?
but why would you waste your spg points like that? hotel points are very hard to come by in singapore, at least compared to airline miles.
What would be the best card to for use via Mileslife to stack the awards? From what I know it seems like the general spend cards with 1.2/1.4mpd are the best for now.
