Turkish Airlines BKK-LGW business class return sale starting from S$2,483

Availability likely to be limited.

While having my morning coffee, I chanced upon an article from LoyaltyLobby detailing the fare sale which Turkish Airlines is currently offering ex-BKK to London Gatwick(LGW) in Business Class!

To take advantage of the sale fare, your ticket must be booked 7 days prior to departure and travel is valid from 13 February 2018 to 15 December 2018. Turkish Airlines is giving very generous stay duration of 1 year, meaning this fare could also benefit university students going on a 6 months exchange come August 2018 till December 2018. Who doesn’t like increased baggage allowance while going on exchange?

A check on Google Flights shows that the itinerary prices out at about S$2,483. Availability is sporadic throughout the travel period. (note that Google Flights prices out in USD.

Note that in May/June, the price creeps up to USD1,880. Still not that bad of a deal.

It also creeps back down in November and December, perfect to kick start the school holidays.

The itinerary is bookable via Turkish Airlines website and several OTAs like Expedia, here’s the fare breakdown in case you require it for booking via a brick and mortar travel agent if you’d prefer.

Conclusion

Although you need to position yourself in Bangkok to take advantage of this fare, there are plenty of options to get up there. Both budget and non-budget options. A return economy fare would set you back probably S$250 on Singapore Airlines perhaps?

I’d book these fares sooner rather than later as these promo fares tend to run out quickly. Note that the itinerary books into “J” class, meaning you’ll sadly only earn 100% of the miles flown if you credit it to KrisFlyer. You might be better off crediting this somewhere else.

To book this fare, using the DBS Altitude card would net you 3mpd and the DBS Woman’s World would net you 4mpd up to the first S$2,000, after which you’ll be earning a measly 0.4mpd. Note that you’ll still come out ahead with the DBS Woman’s World card for this fare.
