If you’re looking to do some low-key manufactured spending while earning 4 mpd and GrabRewards points, here’s a deal for you.
Frasers Experience is currently selling S$60 digital gift cards for S$50 each, which can be used at merchants across its 14 malls and developments islandwide. Gift cards can only be paid for with GrabPay, so I think you see where this is going…
How it works
From now until stocks run out, Frasers Experience members can purchase a S$60 digital gift card for S$50 using the code TGFS20.ย You’ll need to download the Frasers Experience app to buy gift cards (navigate to e-wallet, then tap “buy” under the digital gift card section).ย
Each member can purchase a maximum of four gift cards, so you’re looking at paying S$200 for S$240 of value– none too shabby. Gift cards have a validity of 1 year from date of purchase.ย
Gift card purchases can only be paid for with GrabPay, which is a good thing actually- you’ll earn GrabPay points, as well as credit card rewards points from topping up your GrabPay balance. I was concerned at first that this transaction might count as a prepaid top-up and not earn GrabRewards points, but I see them reflected in my account.ย
Purchased gift cards will appear in the e-wallet section of the Frasers Experience app. You can use them for payment at physical merchants by flashing the QR code.ย
Where can Frasers digital gift cards be used?
Frasers digital gift cards can be used in-store at participating merchants in the following malls:
- Alexandra Technopark
- Anchorpoint
- Bedok Point
- Causeway Point
- Changi City Point
- Cross Street Exchange
- Eastpoint Mall
- Frasers Tower
- Northpoint City
- Robertson Walk
- The Centrepoint
- Valley Point
- YewTee Point
- Waterway Point
The wide variety of places you can liquidate your balance makes these cards as good as cash in my book, and it’s a way of turning what would normally be offline non-bonus spend (paying in-store) into online bonus spend (buying digital gift cards, then paying in-store).ย
What’s particularly interesting to me is that digital gift cards can also be exchanged for FairPrice vouchers. Visit Customer Service at participating FairPrice stores located within the malls of Frasers Property (except for YewTee Point) for assistance. For exchange of FairPrice vouchers at YewTee Point, please approach FairPrice’s store personnel.
Stack with GrabPay’s Power Up Promotion
Yesterday I wrote about GrabPay’s Power Up promotion, which runs from now till October 2020. This allows members to earn up to 15,000 bonus GrabRewards points each month when they use their GrabPay Mastercard or Grab wallet balance for online transactions.
By maxing out this Frasers deal, you’ll have spent S$200 towards the S$500/S$1,000 target, putting you closer to those bonus points.ย
Minimum Spend | Bonus Points | Cap |
โฅ S$500 | 5,000 | First 8,000 users |
โฅ S$1,000 | 15,000 | First 2,000 users |
Terms and Conditions
Here’s the full terms and conditions of this promotion. Nothing much to worry about here, just note that you have 1 year to use your gift card value- don’t let it sit idle!ย

Conclusion
Frasers hasn’t given an indication of how long this deal will last, but I think it’s well worth looking at. I’ve already maxed out my purchase allowance, earning a free S$40 in the process and racking up some bonus miles and points.ย

So for exchange of Fairprice vouchers, can they then be used at all Fairprice outlets?
presumably so. i’ve never seen ntuc vouchers limited to a specific store.
I read the T&C and it says the vouchers can be used at all NTUC stores ‘within Frasers malls premises’. I guess that rules out Fairprice Xtra or the Xpress.
That’s what I thought too, unless they stamp it that it’s valid at Fraser Malls’ outlets only. lol
I wonder how they can control if we spend the NTUC vouchers not within Fraser properties.
โ The redeemed FairPrice vouchers are eligible for transactions at FairPrice stores within the malls of Frasers Property. โ
But Iโve not seen fairprice vouchers restricted to specific stores as well.
ok as per someone in the telegram group
“Dont redeem frasers for ntuc vouchers at northpoint. They stamp the only valid at frasers there”
so it appears some places will stamp the vouchers, making them only usable at that particular ntuc outlet.
Hi Aaron, would appreciate it if you could share when you have the info which ntuc doesnโt stamp only valid at their outlet.
Thanks
See I believe the vouchers got code to scan using barcode scanner right ? Even though they stamp on it BUT you use self-service machine to scan the code and checkout ? Solved the issue.
only ntuc GIFT CARDS can be scanned at self checkout. you can’t use paper vouchers at the self checkout.
I was directed by the CSO to the self check out, only they can over ride the machines if you intend to use paper vouchers, however do not attempt that until you double checked with the CSOs on site.
โBy maxing out this Frasers deal, youโll have spent S$240 towards the S$500/S$1,000 target, putting you closer to those bonus points.โ
Should be $200 instead of $240.
yes fixed. thank you!
Just curious, how do you get 4mpd when all 4mpd card (e.g. WWMC) are excluded from Grabpay Topup?
CitiRewards Visa… it is no longer issued though
16.7 discount at ntuc is still good even if u don’t have any cards that gives points when u top up grab pay.
That’s an oooold picture of Centrepoint – none of those stores are there anymore.
it was the most photogenic of all the malls on the list.
Great World City is selling vouchers too – one year validity, physical vouchers or on app. $200 worth of vouchers gets $20 ToysRUs vouchers and another $10 GWC voucher. About $230 for $200 outlay. Can pay with any VISA/Mastercard to get miles. There’s no upper limit on purchases. The vouchers can be used in any shop in GWC. There’s a Cold Storage/Watson/MeidiYa/Guardian if supermarket vouchers are your thing – can probably hold off converting till July 2021 for an extra year of validity. The GWC vouchers are essentially cash and can be used with any other store promotions. I’ve gotten… Read more »
