Klook Weekend Sale: 1-for-1 nights at Sofitel City Centre

Expired

Klook's latest flash sale is live, with 2 nights at the Sofitel City Centre with breakfast (first night only) for S$399 the highlight this time round.

Klook’s latest weekend sale runs from now till 22 August 2021, and it’s a relatively small affair this time round.

Klook National Day Sale

These packages are eligible for SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (SRV), and those who spend at least S$50 of SRV will receive a S$50 Klook voucher for a future staycation (valid with min. spend of S$200). Don’t forget to stack these with bank promo codes for further savings.

There’s also one last chance to snag a S$56 off code, for those using GrabPay. Klook is releasing these codes here at 12 p.m daily from 30 July to 22 August 2021. A minimum spend of S$250 is required, and redemptions are capped at 32 daily.

⚠️ Klook will release the S$56 off code at 11 a.m on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in its Telegram Group

Klook Flash Sale Staycation Deals

Here’s a summary of Klook’s flash sale staycation deals.

Hotel ↑ Price
Inclusions
Sofitel City Centre S$399
  • 2 nights in Luxury Room
  • Breakfast for 2A (first night only)
Naumi Hotel S$219
  • 1 night in Habitat Room

The main deal of interest here would be the Sofitel City Centre. You might remember I did a review of this hotel recently, and long story short I wasn’t blown away. While it looks very beautiful, the lounge and breakfast offerings were mediocre, and service was forgettable.

It’s impossible to say how much of that was a P2HA thing though, and a good part of the disappointment was because I paid extra for club access. This won’t be an issue with these bookings (room + breakfast only), unless of course you decide to top-up at the front desk.

For what it’s worth, the club lounge has reopened and is serving champagne for evening canapes once more. You can read a review on the club experience here.

So if you’ve always wanted to visit this hotel, I’d say it’s hard to do better than S$399 for two nights with breakfast (especially if you get a further S$56 off with GrabPay). Just temper your expectations accordingly, and I hope your experience is better than mine.

Do note that breakfast is only included for the first night, however. That seems rather stingy in my opinion, given that it’s nothing to shout about in the first place.

Conclusion

With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, staycations should be better now that dine-in has returned and gyms have reopened. You will want to be fully vaccinated for the optimal experience, so it might be a good idea to wait if necessary.

Do remember that all reservations made with SRV cannot be refunded, so be sure to finalise your plans before pulling the trigger. If you need ideas of what cards to use when paying the excess, check this article out.

  1. As of 10 Aug, Sofitel CC breakfast is still one set from 4/5 options. Fixed portion, no butter/jam for croissant and pastries, no salt & pepper.

  2. Sofitel City Centre is the worse hotel I have stayed in for staycation during the past 1.5 years. Service was so-so, the breakfast was bad, and there is no specific timings for breakfast so we had to queue for 45mins before we got a table!
