American Express has launched a newย AMEX Offer for Hilton hotels in Singapore, which gives cardholders S$60 off a minimum spend of S$300 made by 30 May 2022.ย
Registration is required, and can be done via the AMEX app or AMEX online banking portal. A maximum ofย 10,000 cardsย can be registered.
โ What are AMEX Offers? |
AMEX Offers are opportunities to earn bonus miles/points, or statement credits. These can be found in the โOffersโ section of the AMEX app or web portal.ย Registration is required, and some offers may be targeted. These are not applicable to DBS, Citi or UOB AMEX cardholders.ย |
Save S$60 off S$300 at Hilton properties in Singapore
From now till 30 May 2022, registered American Express cardholders who spend at least S$300 at any of the following participating venues will receive a one-time S$60 statement credit.ย
Hotel | Participating Outlets |
Conrad Centennial Singapore |
|
Hilton Garden Inn Serangoon |
|
Hilton Singapore Orchard |
|
The S$300 must be spent at a single participating hotel in one or more transactions for stays, dining or spa treatments.ย Spend cannot be accumulated between different hotel locations (though it can be combined among different outlets within the same hotel).ย
According to the T&Cs, payments must be made in-person at the front desk or at a participating restaurant, bar or lounge within the property. This means that you won’t be able to book rates that are prepaid online.
โ ๏ธ Prepaid reservations |
A caveat to the above statement. In my personal experience, Hilton’s website does not charge credit cards, even for prepaid reservations. Instead, my card only gets charged at the front desk at check-in.ย I can’t guarantee that will be the case at every hotel and with every rate, so do it at your own risk. |
However, what you can do is email the reservations team and let them know that you wish to book a prepaid rate, then go down to the hotel to swipe your card at the front desk ahead of your stay.ย
The offer is limited to one use per card, but if you have multiple cards you can register multiple times (out of consideration to others, please don’t register more cards than you need). I saw this offer on my AMEX Platinum Charge, AMEX Platinum Reserve and AMEX KrisFlyer Ascend (but not the AMEX HighFlyer Card).
Stacking with Love Dining
The sharp-eyed amongst you may have noticed that Golden Peony and The Lobby Lounge participate in the Love Dining program. The Love Dining and AMEX Offer will stack, and it all boils down to the nett amount charged to your card (after Love Dining discounts, service charge and GST).
To illustrate, suppose you and a partner spend S$510 on food at a Love Dining partner. After the 50% discount, that becomes S$300 (S$510/2 + 10% service charge and 7% GST). This will trigger the S$60 statement credit.ย

Conclusion
American Express is offering cardholders a S$60 statement credit when they spend at least S$300 at Hilton properties in Singapore by 30 May 2022. This is limited to the first 10,000 registered cardholders, so be sure to register your cards ASAP.ย
As a reminder, you can book luxury privilege rates at the Conrad through an agent like HoteLux and enjoy free breakfast, US$100 hotel credits and room upgrades where available. Since these rates are fully refundable and charged by the hotel itself at check-out, there won’t be any issues triggering the credit.
I personally will be spending this on an upcoming stay at the newly-reopened Hilton Singapore Orchard. Look out for a review soon!
Hi Aaron, not sure if this has been asked before but does AMEX only count the actual payment date? For example, would a prepayment now for a booking in Oct 2022 still trigger the statement rebate?
All that matters is when you pay, yes
Thank you!
Not forgetting : Hilton Dine Like A Member: Up to 25% off F&B and 500 bonus points
oh yes. you can’t stack that with Love Dining, but it’d be a good way to stretch the credit.
For those Amex cards like Krisflyer that dont come with Love Dining.
Any idea if it means that as long as we pay for a bill at the front desk, the promo will be applicable?
