OCBC has launched a new referral campaign for the OCBC 90°N Card, which runs from now till 31 October 2022.
Current OCBC 90°N Card cardmembers and their referees can earn up to 1,500 Travel$ each (equivalent to 1,500 KrisFlyer miles) when the latter makes one qualifying transaction of any amount in each of the first three months.
Referees will also be eligible for the ongoing sign-up bonus on the OCBC 90°N Visa, which awards up to 10,500 Travel$ with a minimum spend of S$5,000.
OCBC 90°N Card referral campaign
From now till 31 October 2022, current OCBC 90°N Card cardmembers can refer household members living at the same address for an OCBC 90°N Visa or Mastercard. Referees will be automatically tracked based on household address; there is no need for them to apply via a special link or enter any referral code.
Both the referrer and referee will earn bonus Travel$ as follows.

The referee must make at least one qualifying transaction of any amount during each of the three months to qualify for the bonus.
For example, if a cardholder is approved on 28 August 2022, then the three months are:
- 28 August to 27 September 2022
- 28 September to 27 October 2022
- 28 October to 27 November 2022
If you happen to miss a month, you will not receive the bonus Travel$ for that particular month.
A qualifying transaction refers to anything not on the rewards exclusion list, which can be found here (OCBC 90°N Visa) and here (OCBC 90°N Mastercard). This covers the usual exclusions like charitable donations, government transactions, insurance premiums and utilities bills.
There is no limit to the number of household members a referrer can refer. However, each referrer can only earn a maximum of one reward of up to 1,500 Travel$, regardless of the number of successful card applicants from their household.
When will Travel$ be credited?
Bonus Travel$ earned under this campaign will be credited within two months after the end of each eligible period.
For example, Travel$ from Month 1 will be credited by Month 3, Travel$ from Month 2 will be credited by Month 5 etc.

- New OCBC cardholders who apply for an OCBC 90°N Visa Card and spend at least S$5,000 by the end of the second month after approval will receive a bonus of 10,500 Travel$
- Existing OCBC cardholders who apply for an OCBC 90°N Visa Card and spend at least S$5,000 by the end of the second month after approval will receive a bonus of 2,500 Travel$
This is limited to the first 10,000 eligible applicants, either new or existing. Do note that the definition of new customer is different for this campaign, as opposed to the referral one.

Conclusion
OCBC is running a referral campaign for OCBC 90°N Cards that gives referrers and referees up to 1,500 bonus Travel$ each. It’s a far cry from the American Express MGM campaigns, I can tell you that, but it’s also a very low threshold to reach (just one transaction required) in fairness.
Together with the ongoing sign-up bonus on the OCBC 90°N Visa, a new cardholder could potentially earn up to 13,000 bonus Travel$ from S$5,000 of spending. Again, it’s not the highest spend to miles ratio out there, so be sure to refer to the full list of ongoing Credit Card Sign-Up Bonuses before making a decision.
