Kris+ users hoping to earn miles on health screenings and dental treatments might want to check their blood pressure, because the platform has just removed all its healthcare partners in one fell swoop.

This includes major health screening providers like Fullerton Health and Minmed Group, and comes ahead of some updates to earn rates that come into effect on 1 April 2024, which I’ve covered in a separate post.
Kris+ cutting earn rates for selected merchants from 1 April 2024
Some of these clinics offered Kris+ users as much as 6 mpd extra, so it’s a big blow indeed.
Kris+ removes all healthcare partners
Kris+ has removed all its healthcare partners from the app. The seven axed merchants can be found below:
โ Removed from Kris+ | ||
Merchant | Earn Rate | MCC |
Ardennes Health | 3 mpd | 8099 Medical Services Not Elsewhere Classified |
Fullerton Health | 3 mpd | 8099 Medical Services Not Elsewhere Classified |
Fusion Medical | 3 mpd | 8099 Medical Services Not Elsewhere Classified |
Minmed Group | 3 mpd | 8099 Medical Services Not Elsewhere Classified |
Phoenix Medical Group | 3 mpd | 8099 Medical Services Not Elsewhere Classified |
Smilepoint Dental Centre | 6 mpd | 8021 Dentists and Orthodontists |
The Toothbar Dental | 6 mpd | 8021 Dentists and Orthodontists |
This is a painful development indeed, considering how some health screening packages or dental treatments can easily cost four digits.
For instance, my most recent screening at Fullerton Health set me back almost S$1,300, and the only thing that kept my health from deteriorating further was the fact I earned 7 mpd in the process (3 mpd from Kris+, 4 mpd from my credit card).
My prostate’s fine, by the way.
What cards should you use for healthcare?
While hospitals are generally excluded from earning credit card rewards (with some exceptions), there’s a very diverse range of MCCs that healthcare can code as.
For example, the affected Kris+ partners use MCCs 8021 and 8099. These are not on the exclusions list of any card (except the KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card, which excludes MCC 8099), so we basically have a general spending situation on our hands.
You can use the following cards to maximise your miles at these merchants.
Card | Earn Rate | Remarks |
Amaze + Citi Rewards Apply |
4 mpd | Max $1K per s. month Review |
DBS WWMC Apply |
4 mpd | Max S$1.5K per c. month. Must be online Review |
UOB Pref. Plat. Visa Apply |
4 mpd | Max S$1.1K per c. month, must use mobile payments Review |
UOB Visa Signature Apply |
4 mpd | Min S$1K, max S$2K per s. month on contactless & petrol Review |
โ ๏ธ Amaze charges a fee! |
If you’re using the Amaze + Citi Rewards combination to turn offline transactions into online ones, do note that a 1% transaction fee (with a min. fee of S$0.50) will be charged for SGD transactions made to MCCs 8011, 8021, 8041, 8062 and 8099 |

Conclusion
Kris+ has removed all its healthcare partners from the app, and if you had a big-ticket health screening or dental treatment coming up, all I can offer you is my commiserations.
For what it’s worth, you can still earn up to 4 mpd on these transactions with the right cards, though the extra 3-6 mpd was obviously a big incentive to get probed in various orifices.
No loss. You can stil get 6mpd via other means. Which I know works – as I went to the dentist only 3 weeks ago.
and what are these means?
Rightly or wrongly…it is a MOH policy.
I recently used uob PP for Fullerton healthcare but was not awarded the bonus uob points. May want to take note of this.
Does this change come effective 1st April or as of Kris+ immediate removal of these partners?
the removal from app was immediate. some #dp in the following few days that people could still scan at the clinics themselves and pay, but i assume it must have been ended by now.
