Hilton Honors has announced the details of its next global promotion called Power Up, which is valid for all stays between 3 September and 31 December 2024.
This begins as soon as the current Double Points promotion ends on 2 September 2024, which means there’ll be no gap between promotions. Hilton is pretty consistent in running back-to-back promotions, even if some of them are rather ordinary.

Under the Power Up promotion, registered members will enjoy 2,500 bonus points per stay, with no cap.
Here’s the key details to note:
- Registration is required, and must be done prior to starting your first eligible stay (it’s fine if you booked your stays prior to registration)
- This offer is valid for stays between 3 September and 31 December 2024. Registered members checking in before 3 September 2024 will receive credit for their stay if the stay is completed on or after 3 September 2024 and prior to or on31 December 2024. If you start a stay in during the promotion period and check-out after 31 December 2024, you will not receive the bonus
- No minimum stay length is required; you’ll earn the same bonus whether you stay one night or ten nights
- There is no cap on the maximum bonus points you can earn
- Bonus points will also be granted to award stays
- All bonus points will post within 6-8 weeks

Is it worth it?
I value Hilton points at 0.5 US cents each, so a flat bonus of 2,500 points per stay works out to an extra US$12.50 return.
Those doing award stays or short stays at low-cost properties would obviously find this promotion more attractive. If you’re planning a longer and more expensive stay, this will hardly move the needle.

Under the current Points Plus promotion, registered Hilton Honors members 2X points on all stays, from the very first stay, valid for stays between 2 May and 2 September 2024.
2X points is obviously a much better offer, unless perhaps all your stays are booked with points, or are low-value single night stays- in which case a flat 2,500 bonus points per stay may be more generous.

In case this promotion doesn’t get you nearly enough points, a reminder that from now till 25 September 2024, 11.59 a.m SGT, Hilton Honors members who buy a minimum of 5,000 points will receive a 100% bonus.
Hilton points usually cost 1 US cent apiece, so a 100% bonus means buying points at 0.5 US cents each. This is the lowest price we ever see offered.
A maximum of 240,000 points (pre-bonus) can be purchased per calendar year, and points can be pooled with up to 10 other members for the purposes of redemption.

Conclusion
Hilton’s Q3 2024 promotion has been announced, and it’s offering an extra 2,500 points per stay completed between 3 September and 31 December 2024.
Whether this is a better or worse offer than the current 2X points promotion really boils down to your stay patterns, but I reckon that if you’re paying cash, there’s little incentive to divert your stays from another chain just because of this.
Still, no harm registering just in case.
