Marriott Bonvoy x KrisFlyer Dual Earn Offer: Get 500 miles per stay and 1,200 points per flight

Back in January 2023, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Marriott Bonvoy launched a two-way points conversion partnership, allowing members to transfer points in either direction. This was followed by a two-way status match and accelerator in December 2023, providing a quicker route to Marriott Bonvoy Platinum or KrisFlyer Elite Gold. 

Now, there’s a new joint promotion that offers an extra 500 KrisFlyer miles for every Marriott Bonvoy stay, and 1,200 Marriott Bonvoy points for every Singapore Airlines booking. 

Marriott Bonvoy x KrisFlyer Earn Two Ways promotion

Under the Earn Two Ways promotion, registered members will earn:

• 500 KrisFlyer miles for each eligible Marriott Bonvoy stay
• 1,200 Marriott Bonvoy points for each eligible Singapore Airlines flight booking

Stays must commence between 10 October and 12 December 2024 to be eligible, while flights must be completed between 10 October and 12 December 2024 to be eligible. 

Do note that members are only allowed to participate in one dual earn offer per calendar year, so if you’ve participated in another Marriott Bonvoy offer with a different airline, you won’t be eligible for this one.

Eligible Marriott Bonvoy stays

For a Marriott Bonvoy stay to be eligible, the following conditions must be met:

• the stay must be at least one night at a hotel participating in the Marriott Bonvoy program (e.g. not the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore)
• the stay commenced during the Promotion Travel Period
• the stay must be paid with cash (i.e. stays booked with Marriott Bonvoy points or cash and points are not eligible)

Eligible Singapore Airlines flights

For a Singapore Airlines flight booking to be eligible, the following conditions must be met:

• the travellers must have included their KrisFlyer membership numbers at the point of booking, with miles accrued to their KrisFlyer membership accounts
• the flights in the flight booking must be operated by Singapore Airlines
• the flights in the booking must be completed during the Promotion Travel Period
• the flight booking must be paid in cash (i.e. flights booked with miles or a mix of cash and miles are not eligible)

For avoidance of doubt, the 1,200 bonus points will be awarded once per eligible flight booking, regardless of the number of sectors included. For example, a round-trip Singapore to London ticket would earn the same bonus as a one-way Singapore to London ticket. 

If you have multiple names in a single flight booking, each person will be eligible for 1,200 bonus points upon completion of travel, provided they included their KrisFlyer number and have registered for this promotion.

When will bonuses post?

All miles and points under this promotion will be credited within 4-6 weeks after the promotion period ends, i.e. by 23 January 2025.

As a reminder, linking your KrisFlyer and Marriott Bonvoy accounts also triggers a status match with the other programme, depending on your existing status.

From KrisFlyer to Marriott Bonvoy

Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members will get instant Marriott Bonvoy Gold status till February two years later (e.g. if you link your accounts in October 2024, status is valid till February 2026).

A further upgrade to Marriott Bonvoy Platinum is granted if they complete 10 qualifying nights within six months of registration.

KrisFlyer Elite Silver members do not receive instant status, but they can earn Marriott Bonvoy Silver if they complete three qualifying nights within six months of registration.

If a Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold is already a Marriott Bonvoy Gold, registration will extend their existing membership’s expiry date by a further year.

Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador, Titanium or Platinum members will get instant KrisFlyer Elite Silver status for 12 months. 

A further upgrade to KrisFlyer Elite Gold (for 12 months from the date of upgrade) is granted if they complete four qualifying flights within six months of registration.

Marriott Bonvoy Gold members do not receive instant status, but they can earn KrisFlyer Elite Silver for 12 months if they complete two qualifying flights within six months of registration.

If a Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador, Titanium or Platinum is already a KrisFlyer Elite Silver, registration will extend their existing membership’s expiry date by a further 12 months.

Conclusion

Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer have launched a new dual earn offer that gives 500 bonus KrisFlyer miles per hotel stay, and 1,200 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points per flight booking.

These are relatively modest rewards, but it doesn’t cost you anything to link your accounts and register. Just be aware that your status challenge period will start from the moment of linking, so it’s best to have enough flights or stays lined up to qualify.
