Accor Plus members enjoy a wide range of perks, including up to 50% off dining, discounted hotel stays, up to two complimentary hotel stays and 20 status nights per membership year.ย
While these perks are generally for the member only, it’s possible to share some benefits with friends and family through an Accor Plus Member for a Day certificate. This grants them Accor Plus dining and stay benefits for a 24-hour period, without requiring the member to be physically present.
In this post we’ll look at how these certificates work.
Accor Plus Member for a Day
For Accor Plus memberships issued in Singapore, members can request up to two Member for a Day certificates per membership year.
These certificates entitle the bearer to:
- One-night accommodation at exclusive Accor Plus member rates
- Up to 50% off dining
Member for a Day certificates can be used at any participating Accor hotel or restaurant across Asia Pacific, excluding Greater China.ย
Certificates will expire one month from the date of issue, and once “activated” (by check-in or dining), will be valid for a 24-hour period. This means that you could dine at multiple restaurants within the window and enjoy Accor Plus benefits at each
Obtaining a Member for a Day certificate

Accor Plus dining discounts
To recap, Accor Plus members enjoy up to 50% off dining across 1,400 restaurants in Asia Pacific, which tiers as follows:
Number of Pax | Discount |
Member only | 25% |
Member + 1 guest | 50% |
Member + 2 guests | 33% |
Member + 3 guests | 25% |
For parties of five or more, the discount is equal to 100% divided by total number of diners. Groups of 10 or more diners enjoy a flat 10% discount. |
Accor hotel restaurants in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji allow the use of multiple cards per table for bigger savings (e.g. a party of four could use 2x member cards for 50% off).
In Asia, Accor Plus members save 15% off beverages.ย
Accor Plus member rates
ALL members already enjoy 5% off the public rate for hotel stays, butย Accor Plus members enjoy 10% off the public rate. This can be shared through a Member For a day certificate, with the guest enjoying the discount for up to one night of accommodation.
Do note that Stay Plus complimentary nights cannot be gifted; they can only be used by the person whose name is on the membership.ย
Which credit cards offer Accor Plus membership?
As an alternative to buying an Accor Plus membership outright, two credit cards in Singapore offer a complimentary Accor Plus Explorer membership.
Card | Min. Income | Annual Fee |
AMEX HighFlyer Card | S$30,000 | S$304.59 |
DBS Vantage Card | S$120,000 | S$599.50 |
While it’s not easy to waive the annual fee for either card, it’s not impossible either:
- AMEX HighFlyer Card annual fee can be waived subject to an internal review that looks at your spending and tenure with American Express
- DBS Vantage Card annual fee can be waived with a minimum spend of S$60,000 in a membership year
If the annual fee is waived, you will still enjoy a renewal of the Accor Plus Explorer membership, together with the free hotel night.
Conclusion
Accor Plus members can gift certain benefits to family and friends via the Accor Plus Member for a Day certificate. This allows the bearer to enjoy up to 50% off dining and discounted room rates, though you can only enjoy two such certificates per membership year.
I’m sure there are Accor Plus members who take a different approach by simply screenshotting their membership card or providing their login details to a friend, but that obviously involves some risk. This is the “official” way of sharing benefits, and the safest!
