SingSaver has launched a new promotion for Maybank credit cards, which offers an additional S$50 cash per approved card, on top of Maybank’s standard welcome bonuses.
What makes this offer unique is that itโs also available to existing Maybank customers. Typically, existing customers donโt qualify for gifts when applying for additional cards, making this a rare opportunity.
For new Maybank customers, the S$50 cash can be combined with a choice of welcome bonuses: S$200 cashback, a Samsonite luggage, or 10,000 KrisFlyer miles.
Maybank has been making a concerted effort to improve its credit cards of late, and the Maybank Horizon Visa Signature and Maybank World Mastercard are now among my favourite miles cards to use.

From Maybank (new customers only)
The following gifts are available for new-to-Maybank customers, defined as those who:
- Do not currently hold any principal Maybank credit cards or CreditAble accounts
- Have not cancelled any principal Maybank credit cards or CreditAble accounts within the last nine months

This offer is available until further notice, and requires a minimum qualifying spend of S$650 per month for the first two consecutive months after approval (in my experience, S$1,300 in a single month works too, but it’s safer to stick with what the T&Cs officially say).

Customers must receive approval by 20 January 2025, and no minimum spend is necessary to receive the gift.
For the avoidance of doubt, you will get one S$50 gift per card approved; so applying for three cards would give you S$150.
From SingSaver (new customers only)
SingSaver is running a separate promotion called 12 Days of Credit Card Christmas, which is valid for applications submitted from 9-20 December 2024.
Under this promotion, you can get an extra S$50 to S$100 cash by applying for a total of 2 or 3 cards.

Maybank cards are eligible for this offer, so if you were to apply for three Maybank cards as a new-to-Maybank customer, you’d receive:

I realise the third column is a bit confusing, so think about it this way:
- For every Maybank card you’re approved for, you get S$50 cash
- As a reward for applying for two cards, you get an extra S$50 cash
- As a reward for applying for three cards, you get an extra S$50 cash, on top of the previous bullet point
Sorry, I know it’s really convoluted (and it took me very long to understand), but it does mean some extra cash for you.
What counts as qualifying spend?
The best thing about Maybank is that they’re very liberal with what counts as qualifying spend for welcome offers.
You can use charitable donations, education, hospitals and utilities to meet the minimum spend. Insurance premiums count too, only if you’re using the Maybank Horizon Visa Signature.
The main exclusions to note are government transactions and GrabPay/YouTrip top-ups. You can find the full exclusions list in the T&Cs at point 2.2.
When will gifts be fulfilled?
SingSaver gifts will be fulfilled within four months from the completion of the promotion criteria.
Maybank gifts should be fulfilled much faster– in my case it was just a few days after meeting the minimum spend!

Conclusion
From now till 20 December 2024, SingSaver is offering all applicants for Maybank cards an extra S$50 cash, even if they already hold another Maybank card.
For those completely new to Maybank cards, there’s a further gift of $200 cashback, a Samsonite luggage or 10,000 KrisFlyer miles (only applicable to the Maybank Horizon), on top of the SingSaver cash.
I would highly recommend both the Maybank Horizon (FCY spending and air tickets) and Maybank World Mastercard (FCY spending and petrol) to anyone, so have a read of the reviews I’ve linked and decide whether they’re right for you.
As an existing maybank customer, what’s the max I can get? $50?
No max. 50 per approved card
Hi Aaron, to qualify for $50 per card, can we click use any card’s SingSaver link once & apply for many cards on Maybank page, or must we click a specific card’s SingSaver link & apply for the specific card on Maybank page? trying to reduce the application steps on Maybank page if possible.
i don’t know the nitty gritty of how that works. I would be safe and click on each specific link to apply. it’s a few more clicks, yes, but probably worth the effort
To be safe I clicked and applied on each link separately, but when I completed the application for the 2nd Maybank card Singsaver did not send an email with the redemption link. Hopefully its not because all the cards have to be in a single application (and they do not recognise subsequent applications to the same bank). I have emailed them to ask, still waiting for response
