Pelago has been running a series of promotions over the past few months, offering bonus KrisFlyer miles for booking attractions, activities, tours and transportation worldwide.
The most recent promotion, which offered 8 mpd for bookings made via Kris+, lapsed on 30 April 2025. There’s now a new offer for May 2025, but the mechanism this time round is different.
You’ll earn 8 mpd for making bookings directly via the Pelago website with a special promo code (which also means you can’t stack it with other ongoing offers), and 5 mpd for booking via Kris+.
In both cases, you can stack a further 4 mpd from the right credit card, earning up to 12 mpd in total.
Earn 8 mpd on Pelago bookings via website
From 1-31 May 2025, bookings made directly via the Pelago website with the promo code MILES8X will earn 8 mpd, instead of the usual 3 mpd.
A minimum spend of S$80 applies, and the promo code can be used a maximum of twice per user.
The 8 mpd rate is applicable to anything you can find on Pelago, with the exception of specific product exclusions. Everything else, whether it’s tours, attraction tickets, eSIMs, spa treatments, airport transfers, bus tickets, or train tickets, is eligible.
For example, applying the promo code to a S$99 booking yields a total of 792 miles (@ 8 mpd).
The downside here is that you won’t be able to utilise any other promo codes in conjunction with this offer, such as the 20% discount for Scoot passengers, or the 10% discount for Singapore Airlines passengers.
It’s also worth noting that Pelago caps the maximum miles you can earn from a booking at 50,000, which at 8 mpd would work out to S$6,250. It’s hard to think of a booking that would cost this much though!
The T&Cs for this offer can be found here.

S$5 for new Kris+ Users | |||
Get S$5 (in the form of 750 KrisPay miles) when you sign-up with code W644363 and make your first transaction |
From 1-31 May 2025, Pelago bookings made via the Kris+ app will earn 5 mpd, instead of the usual 3 mpd.
There is no minimum spend necessary, nor cap on the number of bookings that enjoy this offer.
Should you book via the website or Kris+?
On the face of it, this is a straightforward decision: why take 5 mpd with Kris+ when you could earn 8 mpd via the Pelago website?
But it’s not that simple. Here are some important differences to take note of.
Pelago Booking via | ||
Kris+ | Website | |
Earn Rate | 5 mpd | 8 mpd |
Maximum Per Booking | None^ | 50,000 miles |
Miles Credited | Instant | 7 days after activity completion |
Promo Codes | No | Yes* |
HeyMax / ShopBack | No | Yes |
^ The maximum payment that can be made via Kris+ is capped at S$20,000 per day *Promo codes cannot be stacked with HeyMax or ShopBack. Using a promo code will result in your Max Miles or cashback not tracking |
The key advantage of booking via Kris+ is the fact that miles are credited instantly, even before you’ve completed your activity. If you were to book via the website, miles are only credited seven days after activity completion.
Is that worth taking a 3 mpd haircut? Only you can decide, but if you need some miles and need them fast, then Kris+ would be the solution.
What card to use with Pelago?
Pelago transactions made on the website or via Kris+ will code as MCC 4722 Travel Agencies and Tour Operators, and you can pay with the following credit cards to earn up to 4 mpd extra.
Card | Earn Rate | Remarks |
![]() Apply |
4 mpd | Max S$2K per calendar month. Must choose Travel as bonus category Review |

4 mpd | Max S$1.5K per calendar month Review |

3 mpd | No cap. Must book via Kris+ Review |
Avoid using the Citi Rewards Card, as MCC 4722 is classified as a travel transaction and explicitly excluded from earning the bonus 4 mpd rate for online transactions.
Also, the HSBC Revolution is no longer an option, following the January 2024 removal of MCC 4722 from its bonus whitelist.
The KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card currently only earns 3 mpd on Pelago bookings via Kris+, though this will change from 1 June 2025 when the rate is extended to website bookings as well- unfortunately too late for this promotion.
Conclusion
From 1-31 May 2025, Pelago bookings made via the website and Kris+ will earn 8 mpd and 5 mpd respectively, on top of up to 4 mpd from the right credit card.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to stack the PNR discounts offered to Scoot or Singapore Airlines customers with this offer, and it’s limited to two redemptions per user.
That said, Pelago’s selection has grown steadily over the years, and now rivals bigger competitors like Klook. If there’s an activity or attraction ticket you’ve been thinking of, it’s always a good idea to start your search on the Pelago website first.
Hi Aaron, I suppose it will still make sense to book Pelago online rather than via Kris+ if I use the UOB Krisflyer Card rite? If I’m not wrong booking online I can get the base 1.2 miles plus the 8 miles which totals to 9.2 miles per dollar. This is more than using Kris + where I get base 3 miles and additional 5 miles which gives a total of only 8 miles per dollar.
