While HeyMax has dozens of airline and hotel partners, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer is not among them.
In one sense, it’s no big loss, since you can’t so much as sneeze in Singapore without earning KrisFlyer miles. Besides, if that’s what you really want, then there’s a roundabout method of converting Max Miles into yuu Points, and then into KrisFlyer miles — albeit with a 17% loss in value.
But for the next week, HeyMax is offering a 20% transfer bonus on conversions to yuu Points, which cancels out the haircut. In effect, you can convert 1 Max Mile into 1 KrisFlyer mile, though the process is somewhat convoluted.

HeyMax offering 1:1 transfers to KrisFlyer

From 15-21 October 2026, HeyMax users can enjoy 1:1 conversions to KrisFlyer by completing the following steps.
Step 1: Draw at least 30,000 Max Miles from HeyMax First
HeyMax First |
|||
| Tier | Miles Pool | Membership Fee (FYF) |
Access Fee (Per Mile) |
| Silver | 30K | Free | 3¢ |
| Gold | 100K | S$299 | 2.7¢ |
| Platinum | 300K | S$699 | 2.5¢ |
| Reserve | 1M | S$1,999 | 2.3¢ |
HeyMax users will first need to draw at least 30,000 Max Miles from their HeyMax First miles pool.
As a reminder, every HeyMax user already has a free HeyMax First Silver membership, which allows them to “borrow” up to 30,000 Max Miles for an access fee of 3 cents per mile. The access fee will be refunded when the Max Miles are earned back.
They can also upgrade to a higher tier to reduce the access fee to as low as 2.3 cents per mile — the first year’s membership fee is waived automatically.
Depending on your HeyMax First tier, drawing 30,000 Max Miles will cost S$690 to S$900 in access fees.
| ❓Can I repay the drawdown immediately? |
|
Yes — but not with borrowed Max Miles. For example, if you already had at least 30,000 Max Miles in your HeyMax account prior to the drawdown, you can immediately repay the full 30,000 Max Miles and get the access fee refunded. You will still be eligible for the 20% yuu Points conversion bonus. However, if you had less than 30,000 Max Miles in your HeyMax account, you can only repay the portion of the drawdown that can be covered with non-borrowed Max Miles, and in blocks of 10,000 Max Miles. For example, if you had 25,000 Max Miles before the drawdown, you can immediately repay 20,000 Max Miles and recover two-thirds of the access fee. You would need to earn another 5,000 Max Miles before you can recover the remainder. |
I’ve written a detailed guide to HeyMax First, so refer to the post below for more details.
Step 2: Convert Max Miles to yuu Points with 20% bonus

| Max Miles | yuu Points |
| 1 mile | 3.6 points |
HeyMax users who have completed Step 1 will then enjoy a 20% transfer bonus to yuu Points, which boosts the transfer ratio to 1 mile = 3.6 yuu Points.
The bonus is capped at a maximum transfer of 100,000 Max Miles, which would give you a total of 360,000 yuu Points (300,000 base, 60,000 bonus).
- A minimum conversion of 1,000 Max Miles is required
- Conversions are free of charge
- Transfers will be processed instantly
- Base and bonus yuu Points will be credited at the same time
Transfers to yuu Points can be made via the Redeem tab on the HeyMax app.

Step 3: Convert yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles
Once your Max Miles have been converted into yuu Points, you can then convert them into KrisFlyer miles at a ratio of 3.6 yuu Points = 1 KrisFlyer mile.

Transfers to KrisFlyer miles can be made on the yuu Rewards Club app. Tap on Me > Transfer Points > KrisFlyer.

Should you be doing this?
Let me start with my customary comic strip.

The entire appeal of Max Miles is their versatility. Max Miles can be converted to two dozen airline and hotel programmes, including several which are not offered by any card issuer in Singapore.

Given this flexibility, it feels like a bit of a waste to settle for garden-variety KrisFlyer miles.
And even if you haven’t been able to accumulate a critical mass of Max Miles, you can still cash them out for 1.8 cents each via FlyAnywhere, simply by submitting a recent award or commercial booking on any airline, to anywhere in the world. This effectively sets a baseline value for Max Miles, and you shouldn’t be converting them to KrisFlyer unless you value a KrisFlyer mile at more than 1.8 cents.
But in spite of my protestations, I’m sure there’ll still be those who want to go down the KrisFlyer route. If that’s you, then this is your chance.
It’s also worth noting that this is an opportunity to turn the Trust Freedom Card’s welcome offer into 100,000 KrisFlyer miles.

Even if you can’t complete the minimum spend by the time the transfer bonus finishes on 21 October, remember that you can use HeyMax First to “time-shift” the miles forward (i.e. borrow the miles now, and repay them once the sign-up bonus hits).
Time-shifting the full 100,000 miles bonus would require at least a HeyMax First Gold tier, and S$2,700 in access fees. That’s a significant upfront fee, but it is refundable, and you’ll receive a code for the bonus miles as soon as the minimum spend posts.
Conclusion
For the next week, HeyMax users can convert Max Miles into KrisFlyer miles at a 1:1 ratio.
However, getting there requires a few steps. They’ll have to first make a 30,000 Max Miles drawdown from their HeyMax First account — whether they need it or not — after which they’ll receive a 20% transfer bonus on yuu Points, which can then be converted into KrisFlyer miles.
I’m personally not an advocate of converting Max Miles into KrisFlyer miles, but if that floats your boat, then this is the time to do it.
