KrisFlyer Spree has launched another promotion where subscribing to their newsletter by 30 April 2018 gives you a coupon for a 20% bonus on the normal earning rates on KrisFlyer Spree. The coupon is valid only from 2 May 2018 and 31 May 2018 and there is no limit to how many purchases you can make with the 20% bonus coupon.
How to get the coupon

- Subscribe to the KrisFlyer Spree eNewsletter.Log in to KrisFlyer Spree and proceed to “Subscription eNewsletter” on My Account page to subscribe to the eNewsletter.
- Receive a Promo Code.A promo code will be sent to all subscribers on 2 May via the KrisFlyer Spree eNewsletter to be applied to all purchases made from 2 – 31 May 2018.
- Apply the Promo Code.Enter the promo code for every purchase. Once Promo Code is applied, a new earn rate with 20% bonus* will be displayed and applied to the current purchase.
How does it work?
The 20% bonus is applied on the earn rate. Taking Booking.com (UK) as an example, the normal earn rate is at 30 KrisFlyer Miles/ 10 USD. So with the 20% bonus coupon, you’ll be earning 36 KrisFlyer Miles/10USD.
If your purchase is not in US Dollars, the amount will be converted to USD first before the final amount is calculated and awarded. Depending on the merchant, there can be a very long lead time between the transaction and the miles being deposited in your account. So do take note of that.
Concluding Thoughts
I have used KrisFlyer Spree in the past for several bookings and if you’re able to take advantage of this promo, you could see yourself with a sizeable haul of additional KrisFlyer miles.
KrisFlyer Spree is useful for me when the merchant I’m shopping with does not partner with Shopback. i.e Marriott Hotels, Avis Car Rentals etc.
Note that should you go through KrisFlyer Spree when making a purchase, you won’t be able to stack your purchases with other sites like Shopback. So it’s best to see which portal suits you better.
