For the past five months, UOB has been offering 3 mpd on Grab transactions. Although that promotion was not extended, the bank has come up with a new offer for activities and tours portal Klook that runs from now till the end of February 2020.
Earn 3 mpd on Klook, capped at S$1,000
From 1 August 2019 to 29 February 2020 (both dates inclusive), UOB PRVI Miles cardholders will enjoy 3 mpd on Klook transactions (in the form of UNI$7.5 per S$5 spent) made via Klook’s website or app payment gateway in Singapore.
The 3 mpd consists of:
- The usual base 1.4 mpd on all transactions (UNI$3.5 per S$5)
- A bonus 1.6 mpd on Klook SG transactions (UNI$4 per S$5)
Get 3 mpd on Klook with the UOB PRVI Miles card
The maximum bonus that a principal cardholder can earn is UNI$800 (or S$1,000 of spending). As you know, most Klook bookings are refundable. UOB will clawback any UNI$ awarded in relation to reversed transactions.
This offer applies to all three versions of the UOB PRVI Miles card. If you have multiple PRVI Miles cards (e.g. one Visa and one AMEX), your cap applies on a per card level- that means S$1,000 per card.
The full T&C of this offer can be found here (scroll down to the Klook section on page 3).
Conclusion
3 mpd is good, but you can earn more miles on Klook bookings if you have any of the following cards:
- DBS Woman’s World Mastercard- 4 mpd, capped at S$2K per month
- Citi Rewards Visa/ Citi Rewards Mastercard- 4 mpd, capped at S$1K per month
Do note that Klook will not earn 4 mpd with the OCBC Titanium Rewards card.
I’ve generally found Klook’s pricing to be better than Viator, although the latter tends to have a wider selection. It helps that Klook does frequent sales where you can get 10-15% off activities, and you can stack that with Shopback for further savings.
Hi Aaron, thanks for information. it is very useful as always. would like to clarify if citi reward indeed is eligible to 10x reward points when purchasing from KLOOK since KLOOK falls under travel according to citi TnC? Thank you
