Hilton’s Go More, Get More bonus points promotion will be ending soon and they have announced the details of their new points promotion, Power Up. As with all promotions, registration is required prior to be able to earn the promotional points.
Earn double points on all stays
In this promotion, all Hilton Honors members must register their Hilton Honors account before being able to earn double points on all their stays at Hilton properties. There is no cap to the number of bonus points you are able to earn in this promotion. This promotion runs from 9 September 2019 to 5 January 2020, making it Hilton’s last points promotion for the year.
Assuming you have an upcoming stay with Hilton during the promotional period and that you are a Hilton Honors Blue member, here’s how many points you will earn on a room which costs US$100 a night (pre-tax):
- 1,000 base points
- 1,000 bonus points from Power Up
This promotion is pretty similar to Hilton’s Go More Get More promotion where you were able to earn double points on all stays. However, Go More Get More had milestone bonuses where you would have been able to earn bonus points after completing a certain number of stays.
Sadly there exists an opportunity to earn 3x Hilton Honors points in this promotion as well, but you would have to book your stays using a Hilton Honors American Express card/Hilton Honors cobrand card which is not available in Singapore.
Stack with Hilton’s Live it Up, Double Up for triple points
Hilton’s Live It Up, Double Up is still live and registration for this promotion is also required. This promotion will end on 30 September 2019 so it gives you just slightly over three weeks to combine this with the Power Up promotion.
Assuming you book a staycation at the Conrad Singapore over a random weekend with pre-tax rates going for US$202 on the Hilton Honors Semi-Flex rate, here’s how many points you will get as a Hilton Honors Blue member:
- 2,020 base points
- 2,020 bonus points from Power Up
- 2,020 bonus points from Live it Up, Double Up
That’s a return of 6,060 points which is worth roughly US$30. If you are a Hilton Honors Gold or Diamond member, your points return will be much higher if you are stacking both Live It Up, Double Up as well as Power Up when you stay by 30 September 2019. Also, do remember that the new Hilton Honors status match promotion is now based on nights and not stays.
Concluding Thoughts
Of all the hotel chains in the market, Hilton consistently offers one of the better points earning promotions each quarter. Remember to register your account before making your stays to clock the double points.
Last year was 3x for Conrad and WA, and 2x for the rest. So a bit of a step down this year.
