Extended: Free Apple AirPods for new Standard Chartered credit cardholders

Expired

Get a pair of Apple AirPods with wireless charging case (worth S$299) upon approval for selected SCB cards as a new-to-bank customer.

SingSaver has brought back its popular Apple AirPods campaign for Standard Chartered (SCB) credit cards, and once more, there’s no cap.

From 18-31 May 2020 (now extended till 14 June 2020), all new-to-bank customers who get approved for an SCB credit card will receive a pair of Apple AirPods with wireless charging case (S$299). If you’re an existing SCB customer, you’ll receive S$50 of Grab vouchers.

SCB defines new-to-bank customers as those who do not currently hold an SCB principal credit card, and have not done so in the 12 months prior to application

The following cards are eligible:

  Annual Fee Earns
SCB Unlimited
Apply here
S$192.60
(2 years waiver)
1.5% cashback on everything
SCB Spree

S$192.60
(2 years waiver)
3% cashback (capped at S$60) on selected categories
SCB Rewards+
Apply here
S$192.60
(2 years waiver)
Up to 2.9 mpd on FCY spend (capped at S$2.2K per year)

Your application must be received by 2359 on 14 June 2020, and approved by the end of June to be eligible. You’ll need to activate the card within 30 days of approval, and no later than 1 July 2020. No spending is required to receive the gift, although you will want to use your card to spend the S$20 of free cashback that SCB is giving too (see below).

It’s important to take a screenshot of the application reference number and fill in the SingSaver Rewards Form (sent to your email) promptly, as failing to do so can result in missing out on your gift. Gifts typically take up to 3 months for fulfillment, and the full T&C can be found here

In addition to the Apple AirPods, SCB is continuing to give S$20 of no-spend cashback upon approval. You’ll receive the cashback within 60 days of activation, and must use  SingPass MyInfo when applying.

Conclusion

If you don’t already have an SCB credit card, this might be a good time to get on board. Once again, there’s no cap on the number of eligible customers, but you do need to submit your application by 14 June 2020.

I have been waiting for my air pods since end apr till now. It’s been more than 2 months. Credit card already approved and using. Is this a scam?

I also did not receive any airpods after signing up for a month and activated my card for use. I’m a new SCB credit card holder. Was signed-up via the promotional dedicated link as instructed, and not via SCB generic website. I think this is a scam.

I think the issue is with SCB. I have applied for both Citi bank and SCB credit card through SingSaver around the same period and I have already received my Airpod Pro from Citi Bank. Given that both credit card application is done through SingSaver, we can safely assume the delay is caused by SCB.
