For the month of June, KrisShop is giving away a total of 1,000,000 KrisFlyer miles, with a top prize of 200,000 miles up for grabs.
Flash deals will be run every Wednesday, and all purchases will earn 1.5 mpd, on top of whatever miles you earn from your credit card.
How does KrisShop’s Million Mile Giveaway work?
Every S$100 net spent (excluding shipping fees and taxes) on KrisShop.com gives you one chance to win:
- 50,000 KrisFlyer miles in the weekly draw
- Up to 200,000 KrisFlyer miles in the grand draw
Chances are capped at 10 per transaction, so if you’re making a very large purchase of more than S$1,000 net, try and split it up.
Here’s how the draws are scheduled:
|Week||Qualifying Period||Draw Date||Prize||Winners|
|Grand Draw||3-30 June||Friday,|
Participation is not automatic; you’ll have to fill out a form after your purchase to participate. If you’re using an AdBlocker, be sure to disable it before making your purchases, as the entry form is served via a pop-up window.
Winners will be contacted via email within 3 working days after the draw has been conducted, and they’ll need to furnish their identification details within 3 working days after the email has been sent out.
All miles won in this contest will be credited within 4-6 weeks of the draw. Interestingly enough, they’re valid for 3 years – normally, KrisFlyer miles earned through contests only have a 1 year validity.
What card should you use for KrisShop purchases?
KrisShop.com transactions will process as online duty free transactions (MCC 5309), so you can use the following cards to maximize the miles earned.
|DBS Woman’s World Card||4 mpd||Cap S$2K per c. month|
|Citi Rewards||4 mpd||Cap S$1K per s. month|
|UOB Pref. Plat Visa||4 mpd||Cap S$1.1K per c. month|
|KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card||3 mpd||No cap|
|AMEX KrisFlyer Ascend||2 mpd||No cap|
|AMEX KrisFlyer Credit Card||2 mpd||No cap|
|HSBC Revolution||2 mpd||No cap|
|S. Month= Statement Month | C. Month= Calendar Month|
The usual caveats about KrisShop apply- always be sure to comparison shop and make sure you’re not paying over the odds for an item. In my experience, they’re not always the cheapest place to buy something.
That said, if you’re already committed to buying something on KrisShop this month, don’t forget to submit your entry- you just might get lucky.
