Note: Since the STB is now adding approved hotels several times a week, I’m going to start doing these update posts on a weekly basis instead. However, I will update the Staycation Deals Guide immediately whenever new hotels are announced, and also post an alert to the Milelion Roars Telegram Channel, so subscribe for the latest updates. |
The STB has approved a further 9 hotels for staycations, bringing the total options for Singapore residents to 35.

What staycation deals are on offer?
I’ve compiled a comprehensive article detailing the various staycation deals available, a list which gets updated daily as more packages come in.
In the post you’ll also find some tips on finding the best rates, as well as what you can expect during your staycation.
In general, you’ll get much better value by paying for staycations with cash than redeeming hotel points, although exceptions apply (e.g a program with fixed value redemptions like Accor Live Limitless).
What will the staycation experience be like?
The STB has published an extensive list of regulations that hotels must comply with before they can accept staycation guests.
I’ve covered the details here, but you can expect things like:
- Staggered check-in/out timings
- Capacity constraints on pool and gym usage
- Contactless delivery of room service and other amenities
- Modified club lounge happy hours
- No breakfast buffets
Get ready for Phase 2 staycations: What to expect from Singapore hotels
Hotel rooms will be limited to a maximum of five concurrent guests, with extensive cleaning between stays and more single-use items.
Conclusion
Exactly one week ago, the first batch of five hotels was approved for staycations. We’re now up to 35, which speaks volumes to the rate at which the STB/MTI approval teams are working. Given that Singapore has more than 400 hotels, however, there’s still a lot more to come!
As mentioned, I’ll be switching the frequency of these posts to weekly updates, but will always maintain the latest list in the Staycation Deals Guide.
