Update: Pelago has extended its 5 mpd offer until 31 December 2020 |
Singapore Airlines has launched a new activities platform called Pelago, which is very similar in concept to Klook or KKday- a one-stop portal to book attraction tickets, F&B experiences, staycations, and tours.
Pelago currently offers more than 100 different activities across Singapore, ranging from theme park and museum tickets to more unique experiences like a Singapore Sling Masterclass at the Raffles Hotel or a Farm Walk in Lim Chu Kang.
To sweeten the deal, Pelago is currently offering 5 KrisFlyer miles per S$1 spent on the platform, which stacks with your credit card miles for up to 9 mpd total.
Pelago’s 5 KrisFlyer miles/S$1 promotion
From now till 31 December 2020, Pelago is offering 5 mpd on all spend, with no cap on the maximum miles that can be earned. Activities can be booked for any date in the future, and miles will be credited within one week after your activity is completed.
To earn KrisFlyer miles with Pelago, simply enter your 10-digit KrisFlyer membership number when completing your booking at checkout. Alternatively, you can link your KrisFlyer and Pelago accounts under the Manage Account feature, and your number will be automatically added to future bookings.
Miles are awarded based on the total amount spent (including GST). For example, the activity in the screenshot above earns S$233.04 x 5= 1,166 miles (rounded up to the nearest mile).
What’s interesting on Pelago?
You can certainly find standard fare on Pelago like tickets to some of Singapore’s major attractions. If you’re planning to head there anyway, you might as well buy your tickets here for a bonus 5 mpd (plus an additional 4 mpd if you use the right card).

However, there are more unique events to be found too:
- Mix cocktails with a bartender at CE LA VI
- Learn the finer points of tea appreciation at Yixing Xuan Teahouse
- Bring the kids for a day out at a bee farm
- Create your own Peranakan beaded art with tea and snacks
- Kayak to the Southern Islands to fish and island hop
It’s not just activities- you can even book staycation packages on Pelago. The selection is fairly limited at the moment, but I’m told they will have 13 options onboard by the end of November.
The two packages they have at the moment seem competitive enough- a club room with breakfast at the Sofitel City Centre would cost S$339++ on the official site; on Pelago it’s S$339 nett.
It’s also possible to buy a family staycation package at the Shangri-La for S$388 nett, with a Garden Wing room, breakfast, S$50 F&B credits, and free access to the Buds and Splash Zone for kids.
What card should I use for Pelago?
Pelago has confirmed that transactions are processed under MCC 4722: Travel Agencies and Tour Operators. You can therefore earn 4 mpd with the following credit cards, for an overall total of 9 mpd during the promotion period.
Earn Rate | Remarks | |
4.0 mpd | S$1,000 per calendar month Review |

Conclusion
With up to 9 mpd up for grabs, Pelago should be your first port of call when booking activities in Singapore. It’s of course best practice to do a quick price comparison against other activities portals, but assuming they’re roughly on par, it’s very hard to lose here.
Be sure to provide your KrisFlyer membership number at check-out, or add it to your account when you sign up.
Hi Aaron, thank you for the recommendation!:) I think the Shangri-la package is unfortunately not available on the site anymore, otherwise it would be a wonderful deal!
yes it appears they all got snapped up real fast. it *might* come back, so it doesn’t hurt to check now and then
The issue with Pelago is the prices can be more than what it sells on the merchantโs retail outlet. Do you homework and donโt get ripped off with this website.
I donโt see this initiative of SIA being very successful. Another poor attempt like itโs other project Kris+
Can this be offset using the SG Tourism $100 vouchers when booking on Pelago website?
