The Ritz-Carlton Singapore will never be cheap, but it’s now possible to book what I think is a fantastic deal: a S$630 nett flat rate with breakfast included, and a couple of Singapore Flyer tickets thrown in too.
Oh, and 9 mpd.
Ritz-Carlton Singapore S$630 nett package
Pelago is currently offering a staycation package at the Ritz-Carlton Singapore that prices at S$630 nett (regardless of date) with the following inclusions:
- 1-night stay in Deluxe Kallang Room
- Breakfast for 2 adults
- 2 adult Singapore Flyer tickets (use by 31 March 2021)
This rate is valid for stays up till 19 June 2021, and is fully refundable up to 3 days before arrival.
What is Pelago? |
Register for a Pelago account |
Pelago is a Singapore Airlines-backed venture which is similar in concept to Klook or KKDay- a one-stop portal to book attraction tickets, F&B experiences, staycations and tours. Pelago currently offers more than 100 different activities across Singapore, ranging from theme park and museum tickets to more unique experiences like a Singapore Sling Masterclass at the Raffles Hotel or a Farm Walk in Lim Chu Kang. |
One thing to note about bookings via Pelago- they’re not instantly confirmed, which means it’s possible you’ll book a date and get told later it’s not available (in which case your money will be refunded). For example, I can even select New Year’s Eve or Valentine’s Day at the S$630 nett flat rate, but I highly doubt you’ll get it given how these are normally blackout dates.
But even outside those special dates, the Pelago rate is extremely competitive compared to the Ritz-Carlton’s official website. In December, Ritz-Carlton Singapore will charge S$718-930 nett for a breakfast-inclusive rate. Pelago is fixed at S$630 nett, and throws in two Singapore Flyer tickets for good measure.
Looking beyond December, the Pelago rate remains cheaper for other months too.
December 2020 | S$630 | S$718-930 |
January 2021 | S$630 | S$671-824 |
February 2021 | S$630 | S$671-906 |
March 2021 | S$630 | S$671-730 |
April 2021 | S$630 | S$730-753 |
May 2021 | S$630 | S$730-753 |
June 2021 | S$630 | S$730 |

What about Marriott Bonvoy benefits?
Booking through a third party normally means forgoing hotel rewards points or elite status credits/benefits, but it really doesn’t matter in this particular case.
The Ritz-Carlton Singapore is notorious for not participating in the Marriott Bonvoy program, so booking through a third party doesn’t mean you’ll lose out anyway. No points or elite night credits will be awarded for stays here, no elite benefits conferred, and the hotel restaurants do not participate in the Marriott Bonvoy dining discounts either.
Earn up to 9 mpd with Pelago
As if the rate wasn’t good enough, you can also earn up to 9 mpd on this stay by using the right credit card.
For bookings made up till 31 December 2020 (stay can be after this date), Pelago will award 5 KrisFlyer miles per S$1 spent. This can be stacked with up to 4 mpd on your credit card for a total of 9 mpd. Pelago transactions are processed under MCC 4722: Travel Agencies and Tour Operators.

Conclusion
This is a pretty sweet deal for the Ritz-Carlton Singapore, and the opportunity to earn 9 mpd is just the icing on the cake.
Remember that bookings are not instantly confirmed, so wait till Pelago replies before making other non-refundable bookings around your stay.
Any idea whatโs the reason behind them not participating in the bonvoy program?
it could be that the owner of the hotel doesn’t want to participate and has some legacy clause in the management contract that allows him not to.
Why is it that non-club RC can command $700+ rates though? Rooms are quite dated and service also not as good as kempinski or raffles..
i’ve often asked myself this too, actually. i’ve not stayed there before, but unless the service is out of this world or the facilities are fantastic, i’d be much happier paying lower rates at kempinski etc.
That’s because they could, occupancy has been consistently very high during circuit breaker despite pricing being North of 500 for rooms only and their brand recognition is through the roof. Especially the RC club, I find their service much more superior to Raffles and on par with Kempinski.
i’ve heard only good things about the RC club in singapore, but the price has always been too prohibitive for me to try…
Are there any rates for Club rooms or suites?
nope. only regular rooms for now.
