American Express has announced a slightly improved MGM (Member Get Member) offer for the AMEX KrisFlyer Credit Card, which goes into effect today. Applicants approved via the MGM scheme will enjoy 4,000 miles when they spend S$2,000 within 3 months, up from 3,000 miles before.
However, Milelion readers will still be able to enjoy a better offer: 10,000 miles with S$1,500 spent within 3 months. This has been extended till 31 March 2021.
AMEX’s new MGM offers
Here’s now the MGM offers have changed for American Express credit cards:

The only point to note is that the reward for referrer and referee on the AMEX KrisFlyer Credit Card has increased by 33%, with the spending requirement remaining the same.
Enhanced offer for Milelion readers
Milelion readers who apply by 31 March 2021 can continue enjoying an enhanced offer of 10,000 miles with S$1,500 spent in the first 3 months. This is on top of the usual sign-up bonus.

To illustrate, applicants who spend S$1,500 in the first 3 months will receive a total of 16,650 miles, split into:
- 5,000 bonus miles for first spend
- 10,000 bonus miles for meeting S$1,500 threshold in month 1-3
- 1,650 base miles for spending S$1,500 @ 1.1 mpd
If they spend a further S$1,500 in the first 3 months (i.e S$3,000 total), they’ll receive an additional 6,650 miles, split into:
- 5,000 bonus miles for meeting S$3,000 threshold in month 1-3
- An Acer KA242Y Monitor
- 1,650 base miles for spending S$1,500 @ 1.1 mpd
So all in all, you could be looking at a total of 23,300 miles + an Acer monitor for S$3,000 of spending. Given that the first year’s fee of S$176.55 is waived, that’s a very decent return.
Conclusion
With the exception of the AMEX KrisFlyer Credit Card, all other MGM offers remain the same as before. However, Milelion readers can take advantage of a better offer, so long as they apply by 31 March 2021.

if you’re talking about MGM offer, it’s available even if you’re a KFB member changing to KFA.
