Last day: Traveloka offering 20% off hotel staycations (stackable with SRV or DBS discount)

Traveloka's 20% off sale on staycations runs till midnight tonight, with a further S$100 off with SRV or S$50 off with DBS credit cards.

Over the past few days, Traveloka has been running a flash sale on hotels, with 20% off coupons going live each night. I covered one of these yesterday in the context of the Shangri-La Valley Wing, although obviously the coupon applies to all other Singapore hotels as well.

Tonight is the final night of the flash sale, and a new set of 20% off codes has gone live. The codes can be used up till 12 a.m tomorrow morning, and can be stacked with SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (SRV) or DBS coupon codes.

Traveloka Flash Sale

From now till 12 a.m on 15 February 2021, the following Traveloka promo codes can be used for Singapore hotels:

  • HAPPYHUATSRV: 20% off (up to S$188), no min. purchase, stackable with SRV
  • HUAT88SIA: 20% off (up to S$188), no min. purchase

If you pick the SRV option, you can deduct a further S$100 by applying your SRV, and a further 15% off (up to S$15) with the promo code DBSSRVH.

If you pick the non-SRV option, you can stack the promo code DBSCNY to enjoy a further discount of 30% (up to S$50), when paying with DBS or POSB credit cards. Here’s an example below from the Oakwood Premier AMTD showing the two coupons stacking- good news, they’re calculated based on the gross amount of the booking.

Protip: If you’re trying to use the codes and you get an error message saying “Coupon has been redeemed before”, return to the Traveloka home page, click on “My Booking”, then “Purchase List”. Proceed to delete your pending bookings by clicking on the three dots on the right, then “Cancel Purchase”.

This will free up the promo code to be used again.

I’d highly recommend taking a look at the M Social, Shangri-La Singapore, PARKROYAL Collection Marina Bay and InterContinental Singapore, as these all price out at very attractive rates with the coupons applied. I’m sure there’s more, so sound out in the comments if you spot any other fantastic deals.

What card should I use with Traveloka?

Traveloka transactions will code as MCC 4722: Travel Agencies and Tour Operators. The following cards will earn the most miles on these transactions:

Conclusion

Stacking the 20% off and SRV/DBS discounts can bring your staycation price down significantly, so I’d highly recommend taking some time off from Valentine’s Day evening (he/she’ll understand) and securing something.

Just remember that all bookings with SRV cannot be refunded, so confirm your plans before locking anything in.

For those who just want to use up their rediscover vouchers with minimum output I think the four points by Sheraton is a good option.

1 night at four points by Sheraton with breakfast and $88 dining credit: $198 – $39.60 (20%) – $100 (SRV) – $15 (DBSSRVH) = $43.40

I purchased a night at the intercontinental which came out to about $85 as I think itโ€™s a great deal with the promotion.

I was unable to book a Shang’s tower wing room. Keeping getting “Invalid code” when applying SRV code even even after I cancelled previous bookings… (pam-face)
