From now till 7 September 2021 (or while stocks last), Grab is offering up to 90% off selected GrabFood voucher redemptions.
Before you get too excited, the highest discount is available for the lowest denomination- a measly S$1 voucher. That said, you can get 40% off a S$10 voucher too, which is considerably more useful.
This sale can be accessed through the rewards section of the Grab app.
Up to 90% off GrabFood vouchers
GrabRewards users can redeem the following rewards up till 7 September 2021, or while stocks last.
Voucher | Regular Price | Flash Sale Price |
S$1 off GrabFood | 55 | |
S$5 off GrabFood | 1,000 | |
S$10 off GrabFood | 3,000 |
Unlike other flash sales that Grab runs, this is a discount, not a rebate. You enjoy the savings upfront, which means you only require the nett amount of points, not the gross.
Each reward is limited to five redemptions per customer. The biggest issue is that Grab limits you to a single promo code per order. This means you won’t be able to stack it with other vouchers for free delivery, self pick-up discounts and other credit card promotions.
It’s for that reason you might want to reserve your GrabRewards points for the CapitaStar pointsback offers we periodically see.
How are GrabRewards points awarded?
Back in March 2021, Grab changed the GrabRewards earning structure to further reward users who spent with the GrabPay wallet, as opposed to a credit or debit card. This is basically meant to entice you to maintain a GrabPay wallet balance.
๐ Points per S$1 Spent (From 22 March 2021) |
|||
Member Tier | GrabPay Wallet | Credit/ Debit Card | Cash |
Member | 3 | 1 | 0 |
Silver | 3 | 1 | 0 |
Gold | 4.5 | 1.5 | 0 |
Platinum | 6 | 2 | 0 |
GrabPay wallet balances can now be cashed out to a bank account, provided the balance wasn’t topped up via a credit card. Believe it or not, there’s still a handful of cards out there offering rewards for GrabPay top-ups:

Conclusion
There’s not much point in redeeming a S$1 off GrabFood voucher, but the S$5 and S$10 denominations could make sense for those who have exhausted all other promo codes.
1 GrabRewards point is normally worth 0.2 cents, but with this promotion you get 0.33 (S$10), 0.5 (S$5) or 1.8 (S$1) cents.
Hey Aaron, would love to see you do more reviews on Grab – like using Grabpay card and rewards redemption so on.
