American Express has launched a new set of staycation offers for Four Seasons, IHG, Marriott, Millennium Hotels, Pan Pacific Hotels and Wyndham Hotels, giving registered cardholders up to S$455 in statement credits for hotel stays, dining and spa visits across Singapore.
These limited-quantity offers are now open for registration, and valid for use up till 30 June 2022.
AMEX Staycation Offers |
AMEX staycation credit offers
American Express cardholders can now register for the above AMEX Offers via the AMEX app or online banking portal.
โ What are AMEX Offers? |
AMEX Offers are opportunities to earn bonus miles or Membership Rewards points, or discounts in the form of statement credits. These are available to Platinum, True Cashback, and KrisFlyer cardholders, and can be found in the โOffersโ section of the AMEX app or web portal. Registration is required, and some offers may be targeted. These are not applicable to DBS/Citi/UOB AMEX cardholders. |
Registration is on a per card basis, and each offer can be used once per registered card. If you have two different AMEX cards, you can register both and enjoy the same offer twice (but out of consideration to others, please don’t register more cards than you need).
The following offers are available:
Chain | Offer | Spend | Cap | |
Spend | Credit | |||
Four Seasons Hotels T&C |
S$400 | S$80 | ๐จ | 8K |
IHG T&C |
S$300 | S$75 | ๐จ | 10K |
Marriott T&C |
S$300 | S$75 | ๐จ | 15k |
Millennium Hotels & Resorts T&C |
S$250 | S$50 | ๐ฅ๏ธ ๐จ | 20K |
Pan Pacific Hotels Group T&C |
S$400 | S$100 | ๐ฅ๏ธ ๐จ | 10K |
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts T&C |
S$300 | S$75 | ๐จ | 10K |
๐จ = In-person at hotel | ๐ฅ๏ธ= Online |
Transactions must be charged by 30 June 2022 to qualify for the offer; any transactions charged after this date will not be eligible, even if your stay took place within the promotional period.
There is no need to clock the entire spend in a single transaction. For example, the Marriott offer requires S$300 in cumulative spending to trigger a S$75 credit. You could do this in three separate transactions of S$80, S$100, and S$120. In fact, the transactions need not even be at the same property; you could combine spending across different participating properties within Marriott.
In-person vs online
Payments must generally be made in-person at the hotel, with the exception of Millennium Hotels & Resorts and Pan Pacific Hotels, which allow payments on their websites as well as in-person.
If payments must be made in-person, any rates which are prepaid online will not qualify for the offer (provided payment is actually taken online; I’ve stayed on “prepaid” rates that weren’t charged I arrived at the front desk so YMMV). That’s a problem, since prepaid rates tend to be the cheapest, but fortunately there’s a workaround.
Look for the rate you wish to book on the website, then email the hotel and ask them to book this rate for you. You can then head down to the hotel to swipe your card and make payment in advance of your actual stay.

Stacking offers with Love Dining
The sharp-eyed amongst you may have noticed that some of the restaurants above participate in the Love Dining program, namely:
- Atrium Restaurant, Xin Cuisine (Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium)
- Basilico (Regent Hotel)
- Brasserie Les Saveurs, The Drawing Room, Yan Ting (St. Regis Singapore)
- SKIRT, The Kitchen Table, WOOBAR (W Sentosa Cove)
- Sky22 (Courtyard Novena)
- Wan Hao (Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza)
The Love Dining and AMEX Offers will stack, and it all boils down to the nett amount charged to your card (after Love Dining discounts, service charge and GST).
For example, suppose I spend S$510 on food at SKIRT for 2 pax. Love Dining reduces that to S$255 (50% off), and after adding 7% GST and 10% service charge, the total amount billed to my card is S$300.13. This will trigger the S$75 statement credit, so I pay S$225.13.
Even if the hotel isn’t participating in Love Dining, you can still stack the AMEX offer with Marriott Bonvoy’s 10-20% off dining for members. All that matters is the final amount charged to your card.
Stacking offers with luxury privileges rates
Download HoteLux app |
To get further value out of these offers, consider booking luxury privileges rates offered by platforms such as HoteLux.
Luxury privileges rates price the same as the hotel’s best flexible rate, and include free breakfast, US$100 hotel credits, room upgrades and early check-in/late check-out where available. These are fully refundable and charged by the hotel at the time of check-out, so there won’t be any issues triggering the credit.
For example, guests can book a S$523++ rate at the Four Seasons Singapore which includes breakfast, a US$100 credit and a room upgrade, or a S$490++ rate at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore with breakfast, a US$100 credit, room upgrade and early check-in/late check-out.
Luxury privileges rates are also eligible for elite benefits and points accrual with hotel loyalty programmes, where applicable.
World and World Elite members can enjoy a complimentary HoteLux Elite membership, valid for 3 and 12 months respectively.
Conclusion
American Express has launched a new set of staycation offers, valid for charges made up to 30 June 2022. Registration is required, so be sure to visit the AMEX app and select the offers you’re interested in ASAP.
Even if you’re not planning to do any staycations now that the borders have opened up, you could still use these offers for dining or spa treatments (just make sure the hotel you’re looking at isn’t a “stay-only” property like the Four Seasons).
It’s a fantastic offer for dining at IHG restaurants, stacking with their existing 20% off for members.
The iHG 20% off only apply for certain restaurants. Not for any restaurants in InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay for example
You’re right. Still quite a few good restaurants to choose from nevertheless.
This should be able to stack with KrisPay, right?
it depends on what the merchant description shows. I believe KrisPay modifies the name (though not the MCC), which means the credit won’t be triggered.
Thanks Aaron. I just did a flash deal purchase on Kris+ on mellower coffee using Amex and on my amex app, it showed Mellower coffee without any mention of Kris. Guess it may work, but have to test it out ๐
One of the terms and condition is that
“Excludes transactions made through a third party establishment or payment processor”
So, my guess is that cannot stack with KrisPay.
So for Man Fu Yuan and Skirt, does it have to be charged to room to qualify?
Saw the illustration for Ritz Carlton, is the stay eligible?
Are we able to stack with AMEX FHR (Fine Hotels and Resorts) using their Pay At Hotel option?
