GHA DISCOVERY has launched an excellent new promotion for bookings made on its app, which offers D$50 (US$50) for every stay of at least two nights, capped at four times.
That’s a maximum of D$200 up for grabs, all the better if you can earn it at hotels with low nightly rates.

From 8-31 August 2022, GHA DISCOVERY members who make bookings of at least two nights via the GHA DISCOVERY app (Android | iOS) will enjoy a flat D$50 per stay, up to four times. No registration is required.
This is valid for stays with check-out date by 31 December 2022. To be clear, you will not earn any bonus D$ if your check-out date is from 1 January 2023 onwards, notwithstanding the fact your check-in fell within the promotional period.
If your booking was made before 8 August 2022, you should cancel and rebook to qualify for the offer (assuming your booking is refundable).
Bookings that include multiple rooms will be counted and considered as a single stay, and rewarded only once. The T&Cs are silent on back-to-back stays at the same property booked separately, but I wouldn’t risk it.
Promotional D$ awarded from this campaign will expire in six months, as opposed to regular D$ which can be valid for up to two years, depending on tier.

Maximising this promotion
Since the reward is a flat D$50, the cheaper your room rate, the higher the effective rebate.
I did some searching in the region, and concluded that Thailand offers the cheapest stays out there. The Avani properties in Bangkok are hovering around US$45…
…while Phuket and Krabi have hotels at the US$35 mark, almost too good to be true!
Of course, even if you end up booking an expensive hotel it’s still US$50 off a future stay, at no additional cost to you.
How do I use D$?
As a reminder, it’s currently only possible to use D$ during a stay, at the front desk of a hotel. You cannot redeem D$ online, nor can you spend them on F&B or spa treatments when not an in-house guest.
GHA was planning to add such functionality in Q2 2022, but it’s come and gone without any further updates.
If you want to use D$ to pay for a prepaid rate, I suggest emailing the hotel beforehand to clarify how it’ll work. Anecdotally, I’ve booked “prepaid” rates at the Sindhorn Kempinski and other GHA hotels that weren’t charged until check-in, allowing me to use my D$ nonetheless.

This is a great little offer, any way you look at it. If you’re heading overseas to a city with GHA properties, be sure to see if you can work this in.
if i book 2 rooms for 2 nights during the same stay, do you think I can get 2x D$50?
can you use the D$ at the F&B during the stay if you booked the hotel via OTA? I was told you can’t even though you are an “in-house guest”
i dont think you can, because the stay must be entirely booked through GHA for D$ to come into the picture. i’ve read that even those who book through AMEX FHR are told they cannot redeem D$ during stay, notwithstanding the fact FHR is a preferred channel
